Really nice drive down a quiet winding road lined with beautiful trees and foliage. Somewhat dark and foreboding closer to sunset but some much more quiet and few people. Once you reach the top there’s a nice parking area and a spot with the cannons and a bench to watch the sky and sunset. Great place for a walk, hike, or place to sit to watch the sunset.
Beautiful paths and picnic spot. Wish there was slightly more parking, but everyone made due parking along the sides of the street.
I really enjoyed this portion of the sorrounding historical markers. It has a nice view and a number of explanations of this unique vantage point.
The trail here is a gem (but please don't go when I do=). Within a couple minutes you're transported from wherever you were, to a quiet walk through the woods where you are as far away from it all as your imagination allows.
