Visited the Promont House during one of their Christmas Open House weekends. I have not been there for years and things have changed for the better. The entire house was open and accessible except for the basement. New to me we're the servant quarters on the third floor and the turret lookout room. There were plenty of docents to answer questions and the place was fully decorated for the Holidays. Lots of history and fun games as ways to get facts in your head. The Promont House is a real Milford gem so do not drive by but visit when you get the chance.
Went here for the first time ever. I've passed by it 100xs of times.. always telling myself I was going to check it out one day! Well today was that day! I did my research.. made sure they were open! I get there and the lady tells me she isn't giving tours today, that they don't give them everyday. I commented and said I read you were open until 2PM. She insisted we come back another day. We started talking some more and she decided to give us a walk around the first floor. Gave a little brief description about each room. Enjoyed finding out that one of their New furniture pieces, as I'm an interior designer, is a piece that Abraham Lincoln once sat on. Loved the 5 minute tour of what we could see. Hopefully, one day, another day, I can get the full tour!
What a wonderful experience we had on Saturday for a baby shower. We wanted to do an afternoon tea and got more than we could have expected. The venue is lovely with lots of free parking. The food was excellent and was served to us by the knowledgeable museum volunteers. There was plenty of room for our guests and plenty of time to browse through the house. Thank you to all
First time ever being here. The tour was very insightful and we learned a lot about Milford history. Can't wait to come back!
Beautiful place, wedding was nice. Be ready for steps.
We are having our wedding here in June and couldn't be more excited. It is so beautiful & Kim is very helpful if you are looking into having an event there!!
Very interesting and ornate old house. The docents were friendly and welcoming.
The outside of this house is breathtaking, and the interior is really amazing.
I'm really hoping to have this as my wedding venue! I scheduled a tour to see if this would be a good venue for my wedding, and Kim was super friendly and amazing to work with, super accommodating and has really good prices on renting things out too.
It is a really good, memorable experience. I hope the dates work out and I'm able to have my wedding here! I would love to update this review and add photos if I do! Just a lovely house!
As always, the coffee was always fantastic and the atmosphere lends itself to sitting and staying awhile to enjoy it. I'm always overwhelmed by the number of gluten free options
Love this place. My dog Buddy and I enjoy hiking, paddle boarding and kayaking here. Great perk for Madeira residents ( Indian hill water ) customers ! Staff super friendly. Beautiful
Visited for the first time and found numerous good choices in the menu. Had the hot ham sandwich and would definitely get it again. Others in the party of 6 all enjoyed their different choices as well. Friendly staff, parking in rear and on the side
The employees are amazing here. They make you feel at home when away from home. I recommend they renew their subscription to the Peloton. They have a nice gym, but we can't access the bike without a subscription renewal :).
The only issue we had was the noise level on our floor (3rd) we were at the end of the hall and suspect it was the door to the stairs, but it sounded like our door was being opened and it would shake a bit. I would stay there again. Very clean rooms
Great place, great environment love the old school western style. Had great service tonight from Kent he was really slammed with orders and he seemed stressed but he pulled through and still served us with a smile, he definitely deserves a raise. Tha
Driving up to the hotel was a little confusing because of the homes in the way but that isn't the hotels fault. If you don't turn around and keep driving past the homes you will find it. A beautiful hotel, everyone I've encountered here has been so k
Walked into pin deck with 23 people on a Monday night and they were so welcoming. Terri B was so accommodating and made the evening memorable. We had great service, good food and lots of beer.
