This place is great! First time coming here, and I'm gonna be going back for sure. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were super nice and welcoming. I ordered the pro pig burger, and it was delicious 😋 I couldn't believe how thick those bacon slices were. The french fries on the side were fried in duck fat, and they were super crunchy and good. So tender and juicy, great flavor. Good beers on tap, too 👍
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prohibition Pig, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The speak-easy environment adds a unique touch to the ambiance, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. I ordered the brisket, and it was nothing short of perfection – flavorful and tender, a true delight for the taste buds. The staff was not only attentive but also extremely friendly, making the overall dining experience memorable. Prohibition Pig is a must-visit for those seeking delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere.
The food and drinks were amazing! However upon arrival we were not greeted at the door until about 8-10minutes of waiting. They ended up not having a table so we sat at the bar and had an amazing time! Very cool drink menu. The brisket and duck fat fries were so delicious. I loved the 3 different sauces to choose from. Will be back!
This place made several lists for "The Best Burger in Vermont" and they did not disappoint! It was absolutely amazing and instantly made my top 10. We came all the way from Texas with the intent of eating this burger! My wife, however, opted for the brisket nachos and they were phenomenal as well. The Duck Fat Fries were spectacular. They were hot, crispy, and fresh. I will definitely be returning!
Great burger, fast service. One of the places to eat around town. After a long day of hiking in the woods, that burger was exactly what I needed to hit the spot, cause you know what they say: a burger is good after a hike! Bout to go home now and play some disc.
Atmosphere was good, service was friendly, food tasted great, but the portion size was really disappointing. I got the sliced brisket (pictured) for $23 which the menu says “comes with lots of pickles, slaw, and a roll”. I was served two tiny pieces of brisket (they did taste great), a roll, a few pickles and a ridiculously small portion of coleslaw.
After a rather disappointing day in Waterbury, we decided to give Pro-Pig a shot, we opted to sit at the bar to avoid a wait and had delicious seltzers. The Bartender took his time to explain specials and items not available. I had the ribs, boyfriend had the pastrami sandwich both 10/10!!
Wonderful New years evening dinner and drinks. Everything about this place was delightful. The atmosphere, the service, the drinks, and the food blew our minds. I highly recommend the wings, Mac and cheese topped, and homemade ice cream! 😋I can't wait to drive 2.5 hours to come back. It's absolutely worth it!

We went to the bar only. My boss highly recommended it. They had a good selection of booze but only an okay selection of beers. They had heady topper which is popular but in a beer haven like Waterbury it seemed a little scant. The bartender was nice
Another great Vermont State Park. By far the most crowded but it's also the start of leaf peeping. Even with the full park we had the beach to ourselves most of the day and it's a great swimming beach. Clean bathrooms, little areas for gathering, and
What a treat. After boating all day, the eight of us were beat. Called Stoneâs Throw and although they âdonât take reservationsâ, they accommodated us with a welcome smile. Interesting Small & tasty Plates, Garden Fresh Salads, Inventive pizz
I would describe this place as a sort of hometown cafe. There's nothing fancy about the place, but I felt welcomed and was treated very well. Our lunch consisted of a burger for me and a buffalo chicken wrap for my partner. Both were tasty and well m
