This review is for the "Inn at the Price Tower." It is such a real treat to be able to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright building as a guest. It is quite eclectic, for sure. Our suite was well appointed. Two levels with floor to ceiling windows on two sides. Bottom floor living area with loft bedroom. Nice views. Staff was very helpful! Quite a bargain, too! Their rates are very fair for the opportunity to stay in a truly historic building like this one!
I found everything about this hotel to be stunning. The view was great and obviously the room was unique. I appreciated the mini fridge and how it was hidden. I'd say the shower was warm, at best but everything else outweighed that downside.
Who would expect to see a skyscraper designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, office and hotel, in Bartlesville, OK? Well, there it is! Nineteen floors, with the top three floors restored to their original 1956 condition. A wonderful restaurant on the 15th and 16th floor with their chef selected from 700 applicants. We took the tour of the building and many interesting facts about FLW and Bartlesville. Please check it out! You will NOT be disappointed.
As we were looking for Frank Phillips' home, I wanted to see the Price Tower. I had read that Frank Loyd Wright designed the Price Tower in the 50's. It's a pretty tall building. Kind of strange looking. I'm not sure why, but the building is green. There is a very exclusive restaurant on the 15th floor. They said reservations are recommended. I read the menu and it's a little pricey for me, so I can not give any advice on it.
Price, the tour guide, is very knowledgeable. The spaces are uniquely Wright's. This is a must-see for all who appreciate FLW's designs. The Prairie Skyscraper is a hidden gem. Next time I am in the area, I plan to stay at the hotel in the Tower. The restaurant was closed for remodeling, so I want to eat there on my return trip, too! Tours are limited to 4 - yes, you read that correctly, four! - so getting tickets in advance is a must!
If you love Frank lloyd Wright then you need to visit! Restaurant and Cafe. Very tight spaces but if you don't mind tight spaces then definitely put this on your Oklahoma list!
A nice day was had by many people despite the hatemongers.
Was really surprised to see Frank Lloyd Wright architecture in Oklahoma. This building and the community center were designed by him. Lots of neat interior architectural details. Even if you don’t go on the tour or eat at the restaurant, you can still see the smaller museum on the second floor and walk around to see the views from all sides of the building. I’d recommend seeing the Bartlesville History museum (its free) for perspective on the building owners and then walking a couple of blocks to see this one too.
