I got this bunny Sunday I notice he was sneezing a lot Monday came and saw white stuff in his nose took him to the vet and was told him was sick before we got him the vet was asking more money for medicines and I took him back to this store asking to help and all they offer was 50 dollars not even for the vet cost . I had no other choice to give him back and I pray you people take him to get the help he needs he was only 2-3 months . You selling sick animals to people. And not to say we got other rabbits at home he could have got the sick as well ! This is so sad I wish this store could close down !

So I came here to buy a cage for a bird I was getting off craigslist and upon seeing they had tons of birds I fell in love with a whiteface cockatiel and two days later went for him. First and foremost let me say this. My family owns a farm, I grew up on farms, I have raised several flocks of chickens but where my heart really lies is with the ducks. I raised them and bred them. I had did so much researching on their appetite, behavior, their breeds, their living environment, how to treat them when they are sick, and have had to hand raise several babies myself. Its one of the most rewarding jobs in the world. We can't just love animals to keep them well and safe we must educate ourselves on their best well being. That being said these poor ducks had zero food or water. I mentioned it to three workers while I was there one of which, Omar, told me "baby ducks don't really need much water they don't drink it they just play with it." I was speechless. Baby ducks not needing water? Well Omar let me educate you a bit since you care more about selling birds then caring for them that all ducks including babies NEED WATER TO SWALLOW FOOD. They simultaneously drink as they eat because of this fact and in most cases feed is set on top or along side of water for this reason. Yes babies are prone to drowning so a waterer is fine for the stage you guys have them at but it was empty and so was their food and they were eating bedding from the waterer trying to get just a drop. I went ahead and filled it myself at your water fountain 10 steps away from where they're kept. And the baby chick's piled ontop one another also with no food many injured and one was being picked at by the rest because it had an open wound. I now live in an apartment otherwise I would have bought that little chicken myself. I have video and pics but haven't figured out how to upload them yet. Do better pratts. Update: here's a video I took, it shortened it to 30 seconds and cuts off where you hear me say the water the ducks were drinking in the video Is the water I provided them. Its quick but they were all just trying to get the last bit of food out the bottom of all their feeders it was so sad. By reading previous negative reviews im expecting a defensive and condensending response from the owner, but I could careless. I care way more about neglected animals than I do about hurting peoples feelings.

The staff was very informative when I asked questions. I’m thinking about getting a few birds here in the future. The prices here are super good. Compared to pet smart you’d pay 600$ vs 40$ which is super crazy. One thing I did notice tho is that the cages inside where the ducks and the chicks are is there was zero water. Maybe because it’s over crowded and they spill it but yea it was very dry in there. I noticed the baby ducks had zero water and looked like it had been dry for a long time and the baby ducks kept trying to drink water and there was none. Like I said staff was very friendly but they way they take care of the animals inside, well just the ducks pretty much and the baby chicks, kind of makes me second guess getting them here. The replies from this place on the reviews is like no other. Has me rolling in laughter 😂…. “We apologize for your sub par experience” 😂😂😂😂

Pratt’s Pet in Glendale is a great store. Their employees are always so happy and helpful. I love that I don’t have to carry my big bags of dog food out to the car. They always seem to have the answer for my questions and they have great prices. I will definitely be back.

Always an adventure, coming into Pratts. If you've not been to this location, be aware it's guarded inside by beautifully bushy chickens that roam the halls (seriously) Huge variety of animals, and the food & fun that goes with them. No fish, sorry.

If I could leave zero stars I would. It was a typical busy Saturday morning. I got there a few hours after opening. I went in the back to look at the chickens and found one I wanted to look at. I looked around and no one was out back so I went in and asked 3 different people to help and everyone told me there should be someone out there. If there was someone out there why would I ask others?? Anyway, once I finally got a worker (tall, bigger, native) to help me, I pointed at the chicken I wanted to see and he caught her but then threw her in a red net bag (think the back onions come in at the grocery store) and she got stuck at the top (which hello, obviously their toes get stuck in the net) and he violently shook her until she fell to the bottom of the bag and laughed. I immediately took her from him because her wings were being bent funny and her feet were obviously mangled. I checked her over and besides being visibly panicked and scared she was OK. She had lice so I wasn’t gonna get her but I couldn’t stand the thought of this happening to her again so June Carter came home with me. I attempted to address my concerns with a young Hispanic woman who identified herself as the the assistant manager. Once I was done talking to her and I went to check out, I noticed the worker who helped me had been standing close to overhear the conversation, and was laughing about it with the assistant manager. The chicken didn’t choose to be at Pratts. It’s a living creature and should have been treated far better. I’ve spent hundreds at Pratts as it was my go-to place for over 10 years. I even referred my friends and family. Never again will you see a single penny from me or mine. This was unacceptable. If your workers don’t want to be kind and compassionate to animals, they shouldn’t work at a pet shop. It would’ve taken an extra maybe 5 seconds to properly put her in the bag or a box. I have NEVER seen an animal treated with such little regard at a pet store let alone Pratts.

Horrible pet store who does not care for animals. They are willing to let a sick ferret die in their care instead of getting it help. I would watch any animal from them as Im sure more , have health issues. They do not deserve even the single star
