Pratt-Taber Inn - Bed & breakfast in Red Wing - 706 W 4th St, USA

We stayed at this lovely B&B for 3 nights during the 2023 holiday period while visiting family in Red Wing. From the moment we stepped into the Inn, everything was perfect - the owners Deb & Ron were extremely friendly and welcoming, their dogs Buddy & Ally were super cute, and the Inn is absolutely gorgeous. The house was built in the 1800s but Deb and Ron did an absolutely wonderful job to renovate it while keeping the historic touches. I felt we were staying at the set of Gilded Age. The bed was super comfy and relaxing that we were able to get a good night’s sleep every night. Ron made breakfast for us every morning and every day’s breakfast was different but equally delicious. We specifically enjoyed the conversation and the stories about the Inn and their lives. We had such a great time staying at Pratt-Taber Inn and can’t wait to return soon! I was blessed with a few nights away from a busy life and parenting for my 40th birthday and chose the Pratt Taber Inn. The hosts Ron and Deb were amazing starting off with picking me up at the train station at 10 pm. The room was quiet, peaceful, and spacious. The breakfasts were great and left you filled for the day. I was able to walk anywhere in town and enjoyed the sites of Red Wing. I highly recommend the Pratt Taber Inn to anyone and am very grateful for Ron and Deb making this experience memorable.

The Pratt-Taber Inn is an average B&B based on others we've stayed at. The host/hostess were accommodating and friendly and we appreciated the amenities that the Inn offered, from the evening wine/beer service to the outstanding breakfast. The rooms and outside patio area were a bit tired and could use some TLC (tender loving care). But overall it was nicer than staying in a budget hotel.

We had never been to a B & B before and didn't know what to expect, so for us, this was a bit of an adventure. I'm happy to say that it was nothing but a good one. Deb and Ron were wonderful hosts, greeting us at the door when we arrived and providing us with cold drinks right away. They were also very helpful in helping us choose a place to eat nearby, as we had never been to Red Wing before. Our (Spring) room was lovely, quite comfortable, and very clean. The house really showed all the love and hard work that had been poured into it, with Deb heading up a renovation that would have been as much an act of faith as anything, restoring the house from a wreck to what it was meant to be (and then some). In a few inadequate words, it was absolutely beautiful. The breakfasts, where we enjoyed talking with the other guests (more fun than I expected), were prepared and served by our hosts and included the BEST blueberry muffins I have ever eaten! Really, the food was delicious, and served with fresh juice and coffee. Ron and Deb also suggested places we might want to explore while we were in town, which was very helpful. Really, they thought of everything and could not have been more hospitable. We will be recommending the Pratt-Taber to our friends for sure. Thanks Ron and Deb!

Had a beautiful stay at the Pratt Taber🤎 Deb and Ron were amazing hosts. We got there a bit early, Deb welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They go above and beyond to make the stay exactly what you are looking for. We stayed two nights and experienced delicious breakfasts, a fun wine and cheese chat, and a treat of Ron’s Specialty Popcorn. I can’t say enough about the charm, comfortable and welcoming feel of this beautiful BnB and the owners. Planning on coming back next year for another stay. Thank you, Sandee

I can't say enough about this place. I stay here when I'm visiting friends in the area. Deb and Ron have become my friends. The architecture of the house and its history, along with all to do and see in red wing make it a place not to miss. Best damn breakfast I've ever had.

From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with open arms! We arrived a bit early, but Ron told us to come on in. Deb greeted us and showed us around the Inn before letting us get settled in! Breakfast is typically served at 9:00 AM, but Deb changed it to 8:00 so we could make our Tee Time. The room was clean and cozy! The bed was so comfortable. I slept better than I have in years! Breakfast was delicious and the company was great! From the decor to hospitality, our stay made us feel at home! The work and love put into the Inn is apparent and made a huge impression on us! We are excited to go back to see Deb and Ron soon and are recommending the Pratt-Taber in to all of our friends and family!

I’ve never been to a B&B before and it was perfect. Location: A couple blocks away from Main Street. My friends were staying on Main Street and heard the trains every 45mins BUT not at this place. Every peaceful. Service: 10/10 very welcoming Room: Every clean and had everything we needed. Food: Was amazing. They even served ice cream after breakfast!! I felt like a kid. Haha Must check out!
