Another great, but shorter trail, to hit. Very good if you want to knock out a quick 20 miles and you have to be somewhere later. It does cross a lot of streets and roads and a set of CSX railroad tracks so maintain good SA while you're at cruising speed. Those intersections come up mighty fast!
Underestimated the trail, didn’t know it was 90% sand, calves were burning for days but I loved the experience & my husband and I swam in the lake afterwards. The views were great

Prairie Duneland is a very pretty nature trail. Has a great loop end with picturesque views and nice places to sit and take it all in. Trail is mildly hard to follow in winter but that would be almost any nature trail after a new snow.
This is a beautiful stretch of path. Pretty smooth pavement, which greatly appreciated when using a jogging stroller. I'm fairly used to the congestion of Chicago jogging/riding paths and can say this gets no where near that crowded. At least, not that I've experienced to date.
This is a great trail, sheltered by trees and mostly flat (one significant "hill" being the bridge over 149). Also offers convenient trailheads and good connections to Oak Savannah Trail and Iron Horse Trail.
Second trip here,nice shaded ride with decent asphalt paving.Some stops have tables or benches.This trail will be on my favorites list.
Very long trail, easy walking and pass through some very nice areas. Very roomy. Alot of traffic, but expected on a nice beautiful Sunday.
I go there a lot to relax and to take pictures. Very relaxing. Went again today. Still as beautiful as ever. A lot of the wildlife is migrating out for the winter.
