The food was absolutely delicious with unbelievable portions. The seafood stew could feed a family of four! The waitress was so nice and friendly.
Love this place! I highly recommend, but be sure to go with an empty stomach...so much food!
Nice little hidden gem in Elizabeth. A corner bar and restaurant we have been going to. A family owned business. Inez, the restaurant manager is a sweetheart who always welcomes her regular Patrons. Daily specials and always crowded. Parking is a challenge with street parking spaces. Right off Rt. 1 & 9. Prices are reasonable and generous portions. Update: Things have changed. For the regulars they will know the changes. Update: no changes. A good place. Update: haven't see the parents (owners) or their children but, familiar staff. Service and food still top notch
Their food was amazingly delicious 😋
I will definitely go back!
Pitcher of white sangria is to die for. The food was outstanding. I was craving this for weeks and got it out of my system. Will definitely be coming back. Sad they only have off street parking.
It's was hot inside. The service was ok. The only thing I did not like was that when we paid, they had added the gratuity, which it's states it is only added when it's 6 people or more, it was 2 adults and 2 children which the toddler didn't order anything. I don't like it when they decide to bill me the gratuity. I used to love this place, but I don't think I will be coming back any time soon.
Way overpriced, horrible food and service. Walked in to have a simple bar dine-in experience after seeing a roach inside I knew I should’ve left immediately, bartender was kind enough to remove it from customer sight. After, I was served a wet steak drenched in seasoned water. I asked for a recommendation and was told “This is how we always make our food” and when asked about fish “You won’t like fish because there are bones inside” without knowing my background or cultured way of eating. I would not recommend wasting your time or money here. I left hungry and time wasted.
Update: this place has overcharged my card and added their tip after I signed and closed my bill. FRAUDS
I have been going here for the last 20 years.
Family and working man atmosphere.
The food is delicious, consistent and very reasonable. Friendly family owned business for 30 plus years. If you have not tried this gem you are missing out.
THEY HAVE A COUPLE OF WAITRESS THAT DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS, THEY PASS YOU BY 10 TIMES THEY SEE THAT YOUR GLASS IS EMPTY, AND THEY DON'T BOTTER ASKING YOU IF YOU WANT SOMETHING ELSE, THEY RATHER CLEAN THE SILVERWARE IN FRONT OF YOU. THEY SAY CLEANING IS MORE IMPORTANT ONE OF THEM I THINK IS FROM PORTUGAL. EXTREMELY POOR POOR SOCIAL SKILLS, I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHY IS SHE IN THIS LINE OF WORK.. PLACE MAY LOOSE CUSTOMERS BECAUSE OF THIS TWO PEOPLE.. I HOPE THE OWNER DOES SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
FOOD IS GREAT.
A buddy and I decided to try this place since it was close to the airport. We had been referred to eat here by several people. I have never tried Portuguese food till now. I was taken by the entrance, it was very inviting. The decor was nice and it w
Fresh and high quality food. Prompt service and nice, friendly folks running the place. I enjoyed the chicken that I had a lot. Great place, would come anytime.
