We had a great stay this weekend. We stayed upstairs in the big building. We love old Florida so this was a great experience for us. The food was a great deal, not fine dining of course but like a sports bar with a very good sandwiches and fries for 10 bucks Nothing was plush but it was clean comfortable and just a beautiful old Florida hotel . The room prices were very good. It's in 10.000 islands so not a whole lot around walking distance. Which we enjoyed the peacefulness of this property though the property was a nice walk . Pool amazing! I'm pretty easy to please. And this place pleased me instantly. It's not the 800.00 a night don Caesar. But for old school Florida history and a great value it's full 5 stars in my many travels So.... Pow and Ziggy ....at the front desk You guys are great ! Thank you, owner was amazing to meet also . We will be back , soon

It's decent. A small team trying their best...but needs more help. Please be aware, there's no elevator upstairs, which sucks with luggage. And the door locks are unnecessarily complicated...we had to ask for help & found our room to be uncleaned, so we had to get a different room. Again, annoying, but I could see that only 2 ppl worked there. Bar & restaurant were pretty good...again only 2 ppl working so please be patient with the staff. Give the owners hell for not giving this place the money & staff it needs to make it great.

From the outside it looked dated, when we walked in, the main area looked good but it stunk. We were given a room on the first floor, no lifts and no help from the staff. When we opened the door I wanted to walk out, it's so old fashioned and drabby, definitely needs remodelling. Main light didn't work, phone didn't work, side light didn't work, bathroom extractor rattled and was noisy. Bathroom tiny and not nice at all. No nice white fluffy towels, just a drab beige. I'd go as far as saying horrendous. Empty beer bottles out side the patio doors. Set meals were 40 dlrs per person in the hotel restaurant. I would not recommend this hotel. I expected much more for the amount we paid. Unfortunately we had a long day and had no choice but to stay but luckily only 1 night

From check in to check this stay was a struggle. Ownership and management (if you call it that) has changed (we've stayed here multiple times before) and it showed (painfully so).||||We booked this thru VRBO and received a code but were NOT told about needing a key card. When we arrived at 9pm, we couldn't get into our room, and couldn't reach anyone. So we stood in the hall for 15 minutes until finally a guy walked up who didn't speak English waving a key card. He let us in BUT it was NOT the efficiency we booked! He got someone on the phone who spoke English and she told us they would switch rooms the next day and let us keep the key card. ||||The only power outlet in the room that worked (that we could physically access) was in the tiny bathroom. I plugged my phone charger into the outlet on the wall not realizing it wasn't working. In the morning, after trying to make coffee using that outlet, I had to carry the coffee maker into the bathroom to make coffee! That morning there was nobody at the front desk and nobody answered the phone number the sign said to call. We waited 10 minutes in the lobby and someone finally wandered in.||||They moved us to the actual efficiency room we had booked BUT the AC was clearly not working. We told them right away and they just turned it down to 61. Of course, it froze up overnight. We "slept" in a warm room and got up to find a puddle of water on the floor. That second morning was when we also discovered someone had rammed our parked car overnight. When the sheriff asked if there was surveillance in the parking lot, we just laughed. ||||So they moved us (again) to a third room (AC was working!) but the wifi did not come up and the TV remote didn't work. Another visit to the front desk (hooray there was actually someone there!) to get new wifi info and new batteries (didn't solve the issue) and needed another visit from the guy who doesn't speak English. He could not get the remote to work and just left. After we did our own online search, we managed to get the remote to at least change the channels. We had to manually turn on the TV but never could get the volume controls to work (adding to our frustration). We also got locked out when we used the screened porch door to go over to the marina store and the latch on the screen door wouldn't work when we tried to get back in. Fortunately my husband had our room key on him so we trudged around to the front of the building to get back into our room.||||We were here an entire week (7 days of this nightmare) for Thanksgiving and discovered the $50 pp holiday meal was cooked by the front desk gal who called herself the manager. She was filling in for the chef who had left town (not sure if he left for good or just vacation). Wow. ||||Oh by the way, I posted a photo of the piles of trash that accumulated outside our building for several days. Clearly nobody is paying attention to the details under the current regime. Unless or until something changes, I hate to say it but do NOT stay here! We were very disappointed after having been guests at least 4 times previously....a huge let down.

Room was very simple....clean linen, tile floor needed mopping. Bath okay, beds are tired but acceptable for now. Overworked staff durin a 6 pm arrival. No food available on a Monday morning. Location is everything; it's the only place around. I would stay again, but would review the room first.

Outdated hotel, and should be closed as you can smell the mold in the air and you can see black mold on and in the air vents. There is lots of lighting that isn’t working or destroyed and it shows that the owner doesn’t care about the grounds or structure. I tried to ask a question to several of the employees, but no one spoken English. ||Apparently from what the person on duty said, there are several machines not working in the gymnasium and the spa hasn’t been working for sometime and he doesn’t know when it’ll be fixed. There is electrical wiring that is not done properly and safety hazards Apparently the owner lives in Minnesota and only comes once in a while, and the place shows his neglect… after talking with the owner and seeing the conditions of the hotel, we have decided not to schedule any events at this location.

It was a terrible experience from the moment we arrived. No one at front desk that could speak English. Couldn't find our reservation. The room looked nothing like the pictures on website. Very dated and dirty All we had was sheet and very light blanket. No parking available. Pool has potential to be beautiful if it was cleaned. We will never be back

I was charged over 230 dollars for a filthy room that was poorly maintained had ants and hadn’t been cleaned properly.|On arrival at reception the guy took a call half way through check in and gave me a key and said it’s upstairs ! No lift. No info about site or amenities or WiFi !|Having Stepped over dirty laundry on landing |We couldn’t get in the room as lock did not work. Took two cleaners and finally reception guy to lock door ! |Empty cans on balcony |Bathroom a disgrace see photos! ||No breakfast and nowhere close to get any ! ||Not even a spoon to stir coffee ||No one around to complain to as reception closed !!! ||DO NOT USE THIS HOTEL SEE PICTURES !
