This is a relatively nice place to stay, they make sure you have everything you need like fresh towels, fresh sheets and new blankets. also supply you with soap and shampoos and the cable TV is fun to watch and keep the kids entertained. The air conditioner was also super nice and kept it cold during some of the hottest days this year so far. The only bad thing is that the maid was accusing us of ripping the comforter but we took pictures of it before we even slept in the bed and we told her about it she was nice enough to let us keep it which it weren't even that bad. It only had a couple holes in, but she was nice enough to let us keep it instead of just throwing it away so we're grateful for that.

Do not stay here. Absolutely disgusting. Mold everywhere. Horrific mold smell. Damp carpet. Damp beds. Dusty. Spiders everywhere. Cigarette burns on the beds and sheets. The mattresses were torn. Old man pestering us in the lobby. His pants fell down as he tried to follow us out of the lobby. Staff worker stays in one of the rooms and her dog wouldn’t stop barking.

Where to start.. they took us last minute (other motel fell through) & were very accommodating and friendly. We get to our rooms and they were FREEZING! We got heat going & had to plug every single thing in (including the fridge). Came to discover we had no hot water. The next morning, I let the front office know there was no hot water- she gave me a key to another room to shower. So I had to walk from the rooms on the hill, down to the main building to shower, back to our room. I appreciated being able to shower but it was a bit crazy… again, the woman was very friendly about the situation. That same night about 9:45pm, we got a knock, saying we had hot water. No we didn’t. He messed with something out back and we finally got hot water about 10minutes later. Location was very quiet, gas station across the street.

On May 26, 2024, my sister and I made an emergent trip to Pulaski, New York, and booked a room for three nights at the Portlodge Motel, as this motel is pet friendly and we had our dog with us. The room we were given was damp, musty, and had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. The bathtub had cigarette burns on the edge and there was no shower head. The linens and carpet were dingy and the vanity had a spongy-type growth oozing from underneath the lip. I went back to the front desk and asked for another room. The front desk clerk gave me the keys to two other rooms and stated that all their rooms were nonsmoking (several rooms had no smoking signs on the front doors; ours did not). At this point, it was getting late and, since we had driven over six hours, we chose a room that didn't smell as badly and when returning the other key, I canceled the next two nights we had booked. At about 1 a.m., we were awakened by a man yelling loudly and alternately laughing hysterically outside our room. Every time we thought he had stopped, he'd start up again sounding more unhinged. This continued for three hours. I called the front desk and my call went to voicemail and was not returned. At about 1 a.m., I called the police just to be sure we would be safe as we left the motel. When two officers arrived, they told us this was a common occurrence; that some local motels housed the less fortunate at the state’s expense. They stayed with us while we packed the car and left. I dropped the keys at the front desk at 4:30 a.m., without ringing the buzzer, as no one had returned my earlier call, I did not expect anyone to answer the buzzer. After checking my bank account and finding we were charged for the three nights, I called the motel and was told the two nights would be refunded but not the first night - when we left, accompanied by the police, at 4:30 a.m. - because I did not ring the buzzer when dropping off the key. A few days later and not having received said refund, I called the motel and was promptly hung up on. As of now, I have received no refund at all. This event cost me $278.00 and was a miserable and frightening experience I would not wish on anyone. I haven't lived a sheltered life, I've worked in New York City for most of my career and have never encountered this type of experience. We managed to avoid bringing home bed bugs, and I am at least grateful for that. Please do not go to this motel - you will be much more comfortable and get a much better night’s rest sleeping in your car, as we did after leaving the Portlodge Motel.

i personally know this place and what half of the people saying here is very false, we have had incidents like bed bugs but its gone less then 2 hours because our staff here clean them and we review the room once we have people stay in it, the walls look nice, no flies or bugs or cockroaches, clean beds and bathrooms, our deck has been redone years ago and looks beautiful with all the flower decorations so i dont know why most people are saying false accusations. yes this is a family owned small motel but we make sure we leave our guests leaving happily and we are very friendly to customers. we are known for having fishermen stay during salmon season so yes sometimes it could stink a bit like fish but theres nothing where a little frebreeze and housekeeper cleaning won’t fix. i visit these rooms and the motel occasionally and every time i do i do not see an issue at all, and if there is ever any issue with a customer we handle it maturally and the best we can to help them out. safety here is also one of our main priorities for our customers, we tale care of our customers appropriately and immediately if an emergency. overall we are a good motel especially one for a very small town and family owned. our family and staff will make sure we give you a great experience.

Very friendly and accommodating. We booked a room for 3 guys on our fishing trip and did not realize it was only 2 bed. When we arrived the gentleman asked if we needed more beds. He upgraded our room to a 4 bed unit for only and very small extra fee. Very much appreciated and we will be booking here every year from now on. Thank you staff for being a huge part of a great experience in Pulaski.

A quaint quiet very clean motel off beaten path. Bathroom has nice hardwoods. Friendly staff and cute lobby. Easy park and steps to room. Quiet. Pool and grills and deck and tables outside with some exercise equipment and plants. Citgo gas convenience store right across the street. Country woods. Fishing town. Huge TV. Comfy beds. Nice view.

Went here after First Day Hike at Selkirk Shores. The waitress let us know right away that she was the only wait staff due to staff shortage. Our order was taken promptly and even though we had to wait a little longer for our food, it was worth it!
