Port Boca Grande Lighthouse Museum - Museum in Boca Grande - 880 Belcher Rd, USA

Gorgeous white sand beach, good bathrooms and plenty of parking. Amazing sunsets, dolphins, rays, manatees, what a wonderful place.

Perfect for a little day trip, we came from Fort Myers and had a great time! Several small shops nearby for ice cream and souvenirs. There is a beautiful beach if you would like to swim or relax too!

Well you learn something new every day. This place is packed full of neat history. Never knew this was a major "safe" port during WWII due to the complex waterway. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Beach has soft sand and plenty of shells. Saw dolphins and manatees!

... wonderful place to visit - you can relax and learn same time...The lighthouse museum was very interesting (very friendly staff ), also State Park rangers there were very helpful... we learn a lot about history of Island - for example, why they were placed those water cisterns... we definitely enjoyed that, also we enjoyed beautiful beach there and got special treatment by local manatee parading itself back and forth for us - wonderful day lots of fun...🏖️🌊🌅🌴 From the practical aspect, I guess because it's really narrow end of the island, parking space was very limited - we are in need of disabled parking, which they were two spaces, but they were both taken...♿... but I guess the size of the area is limiting the space...

I took my mom here. Beautiful shell beach. No crowds and a very peaceful, crossbreeze. There is a small toll but they take cards. There's a cool little lighthouse on the island.

Showed up one late afternoon and found I was the only one there all day. Impressive lighthouse monument that brings images of coastal sails. Also a wildlife meca with countless birds and flighty insects that will keep you entertained for hours as you walk along the beach. That being said, bring your Deet. The sand flies are ruthless here.

Complete waste of time, unless you want to spend the time in the water on the beach, you cannot get into the museum.. there's a large wrought iron black gate all the way around it. There are places to have a picnic though

Awesome beach. I caught my first snook at the rock jetty we went on a Thursday and was still really busy though
