Great atmosphere. Great location on the beach. Service has always been the best. Kimberly, the waitress, and all other staff are the best. It is not fancy, but good food, good service and reasonable prices. We also know the owners who always make you feel special.
Love that it's on the beach! Rooms are not fancy, but they were clean, beds were comfy, AC worked well and a full size refrigerator too. One ceiling fan quit working, the TV signal kept freezing, and the microwave quit working the morning we were leaving. Ordered breakfast one morning... hashbrowns were great, but our over-easy eggs were over cooked, bacon was limp and tasted like it was soaked in rancid oil! My friend asked for ice water and never got it.

Very nice establishment to lodge and dine. Very friendly staff, always considerate of customer needs and comfort. The owner, Chuck, is very friendly and professional. The lodge is located on the beach. I will come back to this lodge and restaurant and will recommend it to friends and family.
The restaurant has gone down hill, alllll the way. Way over priced for what you get. Wish I knew the servers name, but she was terrible to say the least. She was either drunk, or on something. Took at least 15 minutes to even get to our table, couldn't get anything right. She asked if we wanted separate tickets, yes we do. She couldn't get them straight to save her life. Took her a minimum of 20 minutes to ring up 3 checks, and still didn't get it right. Another server and a man doing paperwork, maybe owner just sat there and didn't help her get us out quicker. It's such a shame, because it was a place we went to everytime we went to Port A. Will NEVER, EVER GO BACK.
Use to love hanging here. Beautiful views, friendly bartenders, decent menu, etc. Went yesterday evening after being gone for about 2 months. Terrible! Small, skinny plastic wine glass was filled less than a 3rd. Asked about it and told new measurement in effect. Previously filled these small plastic glasses which was likely about 6 oz. Just not feeling the vibes. Bring back the Bar Lodge!
If you guys need a quick lunch their prices are affordable and the food is great! Sometimes the service is slow but it's worth it. Stayed here a few times in my life and enjoyed it. Rooms get the job done
Get a pound of the peel and eat shrimp with butter. Throw in a dressed bottle of Dos Equis. They add up to heaven. Don't ever criticize the servers. They're working as hard as anyone ever has.

Nice clean room close to the beach. The heated pool at 90 degrees was a plus point for me and my kids when the weather was cold outside. There is a nice library near the lobby as well. Breakfast here is above average as some other reviewers wrote.
