Home cooked comfort food with a couple menu surprises, like deep fried artichoke hearts. Friendly prices. Popular. Repeating local clientele were greeted as they entered. Frequent waitress visits with a smiling face. (Wishing every community had a Pop's Cafe like this one).
I wouldn't recommend this place. The food wasn't good at all. Lumpy no tasting grits. Waitresses got mad when asked to get butter or other condiments. It was not a pleasant experience. The blond behind the counter was rude. As well, as the older waitress that looked like she just came out of drug court. The young lady w/ brown hair pictured was okay. The place wasn't very clean & the menu is limited without ingredients listed. I can't have cinnamon & they made my French toast with cinnamon. Disappointed. I believe in supporting small business,but no one that doesn't appreciate your business.
Pop's is Awesome!!! Great food and great service! I tried egg whites and grits, perfectly seasoned. I tried the fried artichoke hearts, OMG they were so Delicious. The parmesan cheese added that extra little umph to them. The Southwest egg rolls are very delicious and cooked perfectly. Becca has a great attitude and beautiful eyes and a smile!! I would highly recommend trying this place!
We love this place. Always friendly service and great food. The fried pork chops are like mom use to make. The desserts 🧁 are the best around. And now that we have fall weather the porch will be a great spot.
Second visit was as good as the first. Ordered the fried shrimp and loaded fries. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. We will be returning. Hopefully the patio will be completed so we can eat outside.
Our 1st visit we went in about 1 p.m. I got Mashed potatoes Mac and cheese and my mom got chicken and dressing and an apple pie she said the dressing was okay ... none of the food was hot and the Mac and cheese straight from a box! Everyone was friendly very inviting place just hate the food wasn't up to par.. the lady behind the counter assembling food had no gloves on! We ask for coffee both coffee cups with rings on the inside with cold coffee the waitress didn't even wash it !!!! I was disgusted ! Everyone has a different experience but this was ours today !!! I really wanted to like it , but hygiene in a food establishment should be #1!!! The pie wasnt bad either , but we left our food and the nasty coffee cups with cold coffee on the table and not 1 person asked why !!!!!!
With cafe in the name, I was disappointed that all they carry is hot coffee. No other types of coffee drinks. Should call themselves a diner. They had already ran out of their special of the day as well.
This was my and my wife's first time eating here and it was absolutely fantastic. The food was perfect, and the service was just as good. I would definitely recommend the Mahi sandwich if you're a fish person. Absolute 10/10

Would eat here again, thatâs how you tell itâs a good place. Street tacos and charro beans (best charro beans ever) were delish , salsa, not so much.
Very clean, quiet, and beautiful!! Nice exercise machines around the lake. A tank for interesting convo piece. A beautiful creek runs thru it. With a playground and swings. Also, there's a dog park here too.
