Popeye’s Boxing Gym is a great gym that is dedicated to teaching the fundamentals of boxing in a healthy and supportive environment. The head boxing coach and owner is Popeye, he is reliable, consistent, and supportive to his athletes. I have taken my adoptive and foster children to his gym. Popeye works well with people who have behavior struggles, self esteem issues, weight management issues, and people who have disabilities. My son has Down syndrome and Popeye was very accommodating to his needs as well as being compassionate and encouraging. Popeyes gym is teaching my children respect, accountability, and hard work. The gym is extremely clean and well organized. Popeye also allows me to participate with my children Which helps me with weight loss and management. Popeye even encourages my children when it comes to their schooling and grades and even helps with homework. I truly appreciate Popeye’s Boxing Gym for providing a fun, safe, and educational environment.

My family has been going to Popeye's for a good year now, and even though I just started, I don't feel left out or behind. I know I'm not as fit or prepared, but it doesn't matter to anyone; we're all there for a good workout and a physical challenge, and everyone wants to help each other get there. The coaches recognize everyone's ability and are good at encouraging and inspiring you to push through, and the other participants are supportive.

Just started coming to Popeyes. I love it already! The coaches provide a great workout and give good feedback, as I’m new to boxing. Everyone at the gym is welcoming and supportive. I travel for work quite a bit, and this is an affordable, clean, and great place that provides me with a difficult, but rewarding workout when I’m in Akron! I’ll be going to every workout that I can. My 11 year old daughter began attending to help her with hand & eye coordination, confidence and strength. She plays basketball and softball. The entire atmosphere of the gym is welcoming. Kids of all ages support one another. Boys, girls, beginners, veterans, they all help and push to help everyone grow and improve. She has come a long way in 3 months. She never complains about going and gets upset if she has practice and has to miss. Definitely recommend!!

Awesome place to work out with great people. Great place to bring the kids and have them learn some discipline. They work you out hard.. but it’s also fun!

Began boxing here around the middle of March and I’ve had unbelievable support ever since coming into the gym. The coaches know what they are talking about and everyone in the gym is super friendly. The Popeye’s Boxing gym community is the best!

Joined back in August, and MAN. I feel not only physically stronger, but more motivated mentally and spiritually. The coaches really truly care about you and make an effort to know you and help you improve-and so do the wonderful people you meet there! It truly feels like a family and it’s one of the highlights of my day, being able to show up and get a great workout in an hour, (or more if you’d like!) with genuinely good people of all ages. It’s especially inspiring to see how many moms have joined in after their kids raved about it! It’s also wonderful to see kids of all ages, from 3 or 4 all the way to young adults, all come together to learn and help each other grow. Literally such an amazing place full of opportunities for anyone to grow.
