This was short and moderate hard trail. We gained 1600 Feet elevation during this trek. I liked the place clean and calm. We can get both side view south and north.
Le parcours à pied est génial, un peu raide. 500 mètres de dénivelé quand même. Mais ça en vaut le coup avec un point de vu très sympa à l'arrivée.
Beautiful half a day hike. The climb up is steep but the view is spectacular.
Great hike exercise with a nice overlook. Most of the toop view is occupied by paragliding and their instructor. They are friendly and won't bug you. However, you won't feel the nature quiet vibe at the toop
I have done this hike before as an out and back from Issaquah high school before. I decided to do it a little differently this time. I rode the 554 from Seattle to Sunset and Rainier (42minutes from 2nd & Stewart in Seattle ) and walked to the high school and started up high school trail and up to Poo Poo Point. That was a lovely hike that I would rate as easy to moderate on it’s own; easy if it were on level ground but moderate because of the 2000 or so feet of elevation gain. Poo poo point now boasts picnic tables and outhouse bathrooms in addition to the fantastic views. Instead of what would have been a easy walk back I went down what at the bottom the sign said was Chiciro Trail this trail ends up at Issaquah Hobart Road and is shorter at the expense of being steeper and a lot rougher. I would say it was moderately difficult going down and would be hard going up. From there I had a nice walk along the roads and Rainier Greenway Trail into Issaquah and was able to enjoy the free meal served at 5:00pm at 180 Sunset Way before getting on the bus back to Seattle.
Amazing hike up to Poo Poo Point! I started at the East Sunset Trailhead rather than the Poo Poo Point Trailhead, which was around 4 mi of mostly increasing elevation. From here I hiked to West Tiger Summit #3. Ran out of time to do the other summits. Lots to hike here.
We left at 7:30 for the hike up. We just made it to the top at 9pm. The sun set a few minutes later. We definitely needed our headlamps for the return journey. The return is pretty sketchy in the dark. You should be aware of that in advance.
It took us 80 mins for the hike up and around 45 mins to come down. There are certain places where you can trip, so better to carry Trekking poles. 0.5 liter of water seems to be sufficient for me for this trip. Once on the way up, you will see people para gliding. It is a sight to watch.
Different trail choices make this easy moderate or challenging depending on what you choose to do! Love how convenient it is and yet you feel like you are far away from the city!
Really fun trail, went at sunset. Seeing the exposed cables is cool and the hike is pretty challenging. Would not recommend it for beginners. View is amazing.
Great accessible trailhead within the city to multiple trails. You can access PooPoo Point via Adenture Trail, Tradition Plateau, Rainier, Section Line, Wetlands, High School Trail, Talus Rock, West Tiger 3, and more. It's pretty popular and you'll
