Pony Express National Museum - Museum in St Joseph - 914 Penn St, USA

I took a group from Leavenworth, Ks to enjoy the museum. The director Cindy was so welcoming and informative. The displays are interesting and very well laid out I highly recommend this museum for any age person Thanks from The Deeper Window Association, dementia empowerment

We enjoyed our visit. Everything was clean and well documented. We watched a 15 minute video at the start and the rest of our visit was self paced. The customer service was excellent. I highly recommend visiting this place. I’ve always been intrigued with the pony express since I was a little girl and this museum is excellent.

Staff was welcoming and professional. The exhibits are well curated. There's plenty to interest persons of all ages. Some parts are quite interactive.

Very nice museum about the history of the Pony Express in an original location. They have an original well preserved inside and I enjoyed the small display/bio for all of the Pony Express riders.

5/14/23 Great history lesson of the short lived Pony Express started in St. Joseph, Mo. This is an excellent museum to bring groups too. So much to see along with interaction stations. It is a self guided tour with a 16 minute informative movie. I was there 2 hrs and could have slowed down for a bit longer. So happy I discovered this history preserving gem. Not expensive and has a wonderful gift shop.

We weren't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong. It was a last-minute stop and so pleased we did! Do yourself a favor and stop and learn some history and view some interesting artifacts. Fun for all ages. Have a picnic across the street at the park.

Quaint little museum in St. Joseph. Sketchy neighborhood but no problems encountered. The old stable had some interesting exhibits of the old Pony Express as well as a gift shop. It was a nice stop for an hour off the road.

A super cool historical site! You get a great history of the Pony Express with some Westward expansion tucked in. There was an original hand-dug well kids can pump water from, and lots of other hands-on exhibits. There is also a fantastic little kid's room. You can even see some of the original foundations. It is cool that part of the building is original as well. We really enjoyed our time here.
