Food was amazing. Need better communication. One thing that makes me NOT wanna go back, is having to walk pass people trying to sell me products outside the restaurant. Other then that good food. The wait is decent. And yes they got bathrooms for paying costumers only.

When I first got introduced to El Pollo Campero in Maryland, so many years ago, I couldn't stop referring everyone I knew. I was literally wait in line wrapped around the restaurant to place my order on the regular. Many years later, I found out there was a location about 25min away from me in NJ and couldn't wait to savor the flavor that I once knew. Yesterday, I drove out of my way to order just enough food to allow a few my co-workers to try. My expectations and the food was a tremendous disappointment and let down. The chicken was dry and hard, the coleslaw tasted rancid, some of the plantains didn't taste ripe or sweet, the empanadas had little filling. I wasted money and time on a location that didn't put any effort into their food quality or satisfying their customers. After all the bragging about the quality and flavor to my co-workers, I was left embarrassed and still hungry. I will NOT be referring anyone ever again. I hope you Do Better!

We only ordered a take-out from Pollo Campero, last night, and the experience was quite good. Pollo Campero, started in Guatemala over 50 years ago has become a very popular franchise chain in the Central American countries, originally in Guatemala, then in El Salvador, consequently making its way to numerous countries including the US, Spain and even China. Thoroughly cooked (no annoying pink in the middle), perfectly breaded, the chicken had a perfect texture and tasted deliciously. Pollo Campero offers numerous different options for your meal, the chicken is prepared according to your choice (fried, grilled or deep fried using the proprietary "Campero" recipe). For your sides, you can choose between French fries, Yuka fries, cole slaw, Campero beans, Campero rice, plantains, guacamole, corn or "Garden" salads. The prices are on a higher side for a chain restaurant, but the food is nowadays expensive everywhere, so no complaints.

Quality...all the lettuce was clean and fresh. Chicken was right, not dry. A good amount of dressing was included. The "Jamaica" hibiscus punch was a good drink too!! I'll be back.

I like this chicken better then KFC or Popeyes, less salty and less greasy and still flavorful. It is pricey but worth it. Highly recommend the Campero Fried style which is my favorite similar to KFC original. It's always packed so I recommend ordering ahead through the app and taking it home. Really good food.
