Higher end dining, price wise. The atmosphere is wonderful. Service was a bit slow. We had the alligator bites for an appetizer, my husband tried the special that was a chicken and mushroom dish. He said it was delicious. I had a seafood pasta dish that was wonderful as well. The pasta are huge, I ended up with most of it as take away. They do HSBC an outside courtyard with access is from outside only. They do have some gluten free options as well. Parking is on a one way street.
Empty for a reason?? We heard about this place and wanted to check it out. We were the only ones there. The hushpuppies were okay tasting and the shrimp dip was pretty good but then came the mains. The special was a blackened catfish on pasta… they served it with chicken instead, didn’t say anything until they came out with a piece of fish and said sorry. The bread that came with my seafood pasta was so hard it was inedible. But the dish was pretty tasty minus the fish bone I found. All in all, I wouldn’t say it was bad but we can do better.
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary here. We started with the hush puppies and stuffed crimini mushrooms, both were very tasty. My husband ordered the Bourbon Street Chicken (so delicious and perfectly cooked) and mint julep. I had the red beans and rice and Sazerac. Both our dinners were delicious, we agreed we would need to come back and try other items on their menu. My personal favorite was from our dessert, the Pecan Pie Bread Pudding was out of this world!
Stopped here on our way through town, so happy we did! We were there for lunch, a very entertaining server named Shonsa helped us out, the place was pretty busy, she was not only the server but the bartender, it was pretty busy but she was handling it. I was shocked she was the only server but she did great. The food was GREAT, had some gumbo, and fish & chips which she recommended. So tasty! Not over salty like a lot of gumbo can be. We had one of the holiday drinks, it was surprisingly yummy! Definitely will be back, great atmosphere, great food, amazing service, and good value!
The menu is different which is nice. Very flavorful. It was a bit over priced however. The drinks were weak. I would definitely go back though. They don't serve jambalaya till 4 though just an FYI.
After seeing their sign, a multitude of times, I thought I would take an opportunity to go in and try the food today. I walked in young lady sat me fairly readily and then I looked over the menu. The atmosphere/ambiance was very lively for a Saturday afternoon. Having visited New Orleans and tasted the glory, I was really looking forward to a solid meal. I was able to order a glass of wine pretty easily, but then everything else that I asked about on the menu seems very conditional… In the sense that there was no effort whatsoever to accommodate the customers preference with respect to ordering food. It seems that the customer can only order the food as it is arranged on the menu with no substitutions at all. I also found it odd that when I ordered a half salad with blackened catfish, the young lady told me that I was only allowed to do so if it was a full salad, and not the half salad… I found this strange, because I saw no mention of that particular condition stated anywhere on the menu. When I asked about the “ spaghetti and meatballs “special, the young lady told me that I could not order that item until after 5:00 PM. After being limited to so few options, I decided it was not worth my time to make an order of food and try to enjoy it… So I walked out the door and I felt less burdened with my afternoon. Lastly, this initial experience discouraged me to think about ever returning anytime in the future. Overall…Really disappointed.☹️
Absolutely safe, stunning, and supple in space and atmosphere! In walking distance of the river walk and the food AND restaurant is inviting. Don’t be shocked at their affordable burgers! They are bursting with flavor and the atmosphere is easy to get lost in.
Great atmosphere, customer service & food!! A little on the spendy side but totally worth it!!

Hand pressed burgers? OMG so good. Awesome side salad instead of fries, the dressing tasted homemade. My husband had 3 eggs sunnyside with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Breakfast is served all day.
