Excellent service by Sterling and the whole crew. Amazing location, right on the beach, not too far from OOB but still quiet and away from the noise and busy streets. Cozy and unpretentious rooms, great social atmosphere. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

A great historical inn that’s in the heart of old orchard beach and very close to the water. The owner of the inn is very friendly and sociable. Such a great deal for a room in this area!

Ça fait 30 ans qu'on va la et c'est la meilleur place qui soit, super proche de la plage, plein de québécois, hyper familiales, typiquement maison proche de la plage... c'est propre, je recommande fortement!

We've been reserving the same apartment for well over 15 years. Sterling goes above and beyond to make sure his guests needs are met while providing a great atmosphere to relax. The cleaning staff provides excellent clean environment with fresh towels daily. Best place to stay in Old Orchard Beach!

My husband and I decided to take an impromptu rest in Maine for a couple of days in early August.We were able to find a reservation at The Point of View Inn in Old Orchard Beach.||||It turned out to be so fantastic, a wonderful discovery. Location perfect, just a few steps away from a beautiful beach. It is a grand old house beautifully decorated and overflowing with charm and cozy ambience. There is a wraparound porch where guests can relax in white wicker chairs and sofas with with such pretty and comfortable pillows and gorgeous flower boxes on the railings. A great place to end the day with a glass of wine and some fruit and cheese. ||||The innkeepers are Sterling and Andrea, such a friendly and delightful couple.. So glad to have met them. From the moment we arrived they gave us all the information we needed and during our stay Sterling was always ready to answer a question and gave us so many suggestions on where to have breakfast and dinner, even going so far as to call restaurants to inquire about reservations. Their personalities and their hospitality was amazing.||||Our room on the second floor was immaculate and furnished with lovely furnishings and bedding that had a seaside feel. A view of the ocean and the sound of the surf was therapeutic. And the mattresses were so comfortable…..the weather was fabulous…..and since we were having such a wonderful time, we stayed for two more nights, this time on the third floor, a room just as nice as the first. They also offer kitchenettes and apartments which we will consider the next time…..because there will definitely be a next time.||||Janet and August Beucke||Longmeadow, Massachusetts

We found this place years ago on our first visit to Old Orchard Beach. It was spring, and it rained most of the time— but our children were young enough to be distracted by the Disney Channel as we snuggled down into one of the apartments and made family memories. ||||We return each year that our schedule allows — 5 times now, I believe — and it’s never a question of where we’ll stay. Sterling is a wonderful innkeeper who genuinely cares about ensuring that we have a lovely time. He supplies a “lobster kit” for when we do our big patio lobster supper, beach chairs, extra patio furniture, anything we need as our family gathers here. We’ve stayed in a private room in the inn (when it was just the 2 of us) and also 3 of the other apartments over the years. We’ve brought friends and family. ||||It’s about a 30 second walk to the beach, and the street is private and quiet. We rarely keep a car here because all of OOB & Ocean Park are in easy walking distance & you can Uber to/from the airport. Our teens enjoy staying here because of the freedom to walk to play mini golf or get food, ice cream or coffee—or hang on the beach. ||||Love love love this place.

Vieille auberge très abordable à deux pas de la plage. Certaines chambres ont de belles vues de la mer. Certaines chambres ont des petites salles de bain et des cuisinettes dans la chambre et d'autres n'en ont pas et doivent aller à la salle de bain commune et se nourrir autrement. Les matelas sont très confortables puisqu'ils viennent d'être changés. Il y a aussi des appartements. J'étais dans un de ceux-ci. Cuisine rénovée avec un lave-vaisselle. Certains articles de vaisselle sont fournis. Certaines portes ne fermaient malheureusement pas à l'intérieur de l'appartement. Mais le propriétaire ma dit qu'il y verrait. Ce dernier est très serviable et très gentil. Il y a de belles fleurs partout. Les appartements ont de belles terrasses et les chambres de l'auberge ont accès à une terrasse commune. En somme un excellent endroit où je vais revenir.

We liked our stay at Point of View Inn. This family-run inn has a pleasant wrap-around porch for enjoying the breeze. Our room was scrupulously clean, and the comfortable bed guaranteed a good sleep. The room had a small kitchenette and a private bath; some have shared baths. Staff was pleasant and helpful.||||The location is nice--a few steps down a path leads to the beach. Another plus--Joseph's restaurant is a short walk away. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the honky-tonk center of Old Orchard Beach, a great place to visit and also to escape from when you've had enough cotton candy and fried dough, porch bands belting out oldies, and kids screaming on the Tilt-a-Whirl. At that point, glad to return to the inn.||||This inn could use a little updating here and there. The bathroom was rather small. But these details did not bother us. Ordinarily I might give a slightly lower rating because of this, but I felt that the price point exactly matched what the inn offered--a pleasant, well-run, comfortable lodging where you get better than the basics. And compared to some of the inns and motels we walked by in town, we were happy we chose this one.
