Got the Mailman with brisket and sausage, huge delicious sandwich. They weren’t stingy with the portions. Mac and cheese was creamy, sweet tea was super sweet which let’s be honest needs to be when you eat bbq. Not a fan of sweet sauce on my brisket but totally works here. Highly recommend if you’re stuck in the Pecos area
Pody’s hit every nail right on the head. Great service, patience as we figured out the menu, clean and cozy environment, and delicious BBQ. The ribs were my favorite, great rub and a little sweetness on the back end. Would definitely recommend!
They open at 11 am. I got there at 11:15 and the place was packed. That was a good sign. Had the brisket, sausage, pork rib, slaw, mac & cheese, and pinto beans. Brisket wasn't over seasoned and tender. Rib was moist and fell right off the bone. Sausage was full of flavor. The slaw wasn't drowning in mayo, so it was perfect. The beans were basic, beans and pork meat, and they couldn't be any better. Just how beans should be. BUT the mac & cheese was one of the best I have had. My first bite, and I was brought instantly back to Sunday dinner at my Grandma Dottie's house. I'll be back every time I'm through Pecos, and they are open.
The food came out quick. The portions were very generous (can believe that potato is the "regular size" and not the XL?!)
Most of all, the food tasted great!
Stopped here for lunch on our way between Carlsbad Caverns and Big Bend. This was hands-down the best brisket we’ve ever eaten in our LIVES. I’m going to be dreaming about more of that for a long time. Curly fries were really good too.
It was pretty good, not great. It was rather expensive. For the 3 meat plate, it was $18. I was a bit disappointed that they only gave me 1 rib as one of the meats. I think that it should've been at least 2 bones. They gave me a good amount of brisket, but about 20% of it was fat and I threw it out. Otherwise, it's a decent place. I think Dicky's is a little bit better. IMO.
Super cute place. Wait wasn’t too long but I have heard it takes a while. Pody’s is a must-visit here in Pecos and is known for the line wrapping around outside. I got the Pecos XL Spud (pictured below) and it was good. Didn’t wow me like I initially expected but it was pretty good. I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Comes with a side of jalapeños and bbq sauce that I drizzled on. Didn’t care for the onions.
We just moved here to Pecos and ate here one other time when visiting several months ago. The food is absolutely delicious, we got the loaded baked potatoes to reheat for dinner later as they are only open until 2. It smells heavenly, can't wait to dig in this evening! Oh, and they are huge!

Such an incredible collection of artifacts and memorabilia of life way out west. Super friendly and helpful museum staff, too. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Pecos for some reason.
Wish we could find more hotels like this!! We have 5 kids and the room was perfect and very affordable. The indoor pool and hot tub was a huge plus especially in January!! The receptionist Melissa is also a great asset to the staff. She was very help

First time here. The menu leans more for the English speaking customer. It has limited Mexican plates. I ordered Calabasitas con asadero. Since no egg plates that I liked, I got 2 side eggs and beans with chorizo. It was delicious. The place is very
It's the best main camp I ever had the chance to stay. the food is definitely about everything I ate in all the others main camp. Also the services and people working there are great.
I will definitely come back if I ever work around Pecos.
This place is as authentic as a beautiful Mexican bakery can get! The little kitchen on the side is waiting time only the food is so good. The Menudo is delicious! Love the pan dulce, the sweet beard with a fresh cup of coffee. It has always been goo
This is a busy place, even at 1 o'clock, but service was fast and friendly. Food came quickly and was hot and delicious. I love the chips and salsa they serve (is complimentary). The chips are the thick, crispy kind they fry themselves... My favorite
Although the rooms are incredibly small, I can't count it against them since it's a man camp. The rooms are clean, and the included food is the best quality I've ever had from a man camp. Also the staff is very friendly. The only thing I without comp
Thank you to the staff here under their GM Holly. We appreciate everything above and beyond. We broke down and this establishment allowed us to hang out in their hotel. Free from the elements outside and never treated us differently. Thank you for y
