Plum Orchard Lake - Wildlife refuge in Scarbro - 1156 Plum Orchard Lake Rd, USA

This lake is just so wonderful to visit especially this time of year, June, it has camping sites which are free, great fishing, and it is filled with water lilies about 50% of the lake, it is a small lake, which is well-kept and maintained, there is a shooting range also so be sure to take it vantage of that, I go there every chance I get

I was in the area and on a lark decided to check out the lake. It is truly a hidden gem in these lovely hills! The southern part of the lake had a large layer of lily pads and the water caught the fall colors of the hills perfectly. I wish I had a boat there so I could go out on the water, it was a perfectly tranquil day.

Beautiful place, not much for fishing though. Also not a lot of places to fish from other than docks

Beautiful lake to spend a relaxing day fishing even on a rainy day. No facilities though.

Super Quiet and the fisherman are very friendly! Easy and ample parking! Great place for kayaks and paddleboards (no speed boats or jet skis allowed)!

Awesome lake . Had fun fishing and the scenery is awesome. My boy had a great time. P.S. the Golden corral at Beckley WV is awesome too!!

Worst place I've ever been. Will not go back. Roads or camp sights are not maintenanced. You can't fish because of all the Lilly pads and weeds. To many drunks.

Saw a lot of trash around the lake. An entire blanket, beer cans, empty shopping bags, etc. Tried fishing but the lily pads are way too thick to effectively fish from the shore. Definitely NOT worth the trip. There are far better, cleaner, easier accessed places to go fishing.
