Little mini mansion but very cool to walk through and see everything. I especially loved the gigantic ice maker in the basement.
This is such a lovely historic home! The tour was amazing and even covered the icemaking technology used in the early 1900s. The original wall paper is gorgeous and the wood is so beautiful! When we went we also saw wild horses and some very cool sea birds on the property.
Well worth the trip out there to the mansion! We took the lands and Legacy tour and went out in a van.
Fun tour with friendly staff. Potable water, restrooms, and interesting stores
Beautiful old Carnegie home on the island.
The hour long tour allowed you to be accessible to many private rooms of the mansion. The tour guide was privy to many family secrets and shared them with an entertaining flair. Be sure to have your camera ready as you are allowed to take flash photography as much as you like. I was surprised they invited anyone to play the Carnegie piano as well. There are several picnic tables under huge oak trees, so plan to have a picnic on the beautiful spacious lawn. This is a bargain since the tour is free!
Wow!! This place was amazing. So hard to believe they maintained such an extravagant home on the middle of the wilderness. If you ever have a chance to see it, don’t miss it.
We didn't get to see the interior because it is closed for some renovations, but it is a beautiful site. If you are backpacking up to Brickhill Bluff or staying at Yankee Paradise, this is a must-stop destination. There is a hose bib on the right side of the front porch that has the best tasting water on the entire island and it doesn't have to be treated. Plus, there are bathrooms open at hunt camp on the property which is a super nice convenience.
Magical, mystical, historical, natural, beautiful, there are just not enough superlatives to describe our time on Cumberland Island.
We saw horses, sharks, armadillos, loads of birds, and butterflies. The rangers and volunteers were incredibly helpful
My children have been members for almost a year and are loving it! We are happy they are being exposed to new challenges and learning so many important skills along the way. The positive impact is very noticeable and makes my mama heart happy!
This place is truly a real bakery - quality and delicious sweet choices. Breakfast burritos, quiche, donuts, cookies, baked fresh bread, coffee, muffins, breakfast and lunch. Menu in the pictures
First time going was surprisingly impressive. Coming from a convenient store you wouldn't expect to find this kind of fresh food. I ordered a Grilled Chicken Salad that was absolutely amazing. The chicken was cooked in front of me and the salad was l
Oh my goodness the butter pecan French toast is to die for! The La Bamba burrito is very tasty. This will definitely be a spot we come back to! Literally forgot to get a photo when it came out because it all smelled so good. ð¤¤
My wife loved the lazy river and my son loved all of it. They should label the height requirement better at the bottom of the water slide so you don't walk your kid up there just to walk them back down. The waterslide is a little bit weird being tota
