Pleasant Ridge Chili Restaurant - American restaurant in Cincinnati - 6032 Montgomery Rd, USA

This place does not disappoint. Respectfully, it’s a hole in the wall… which are my favorite types of restaurants. The food is always fresh and delicious. I am obsessed with the gravy cheese fries. They are a staple at this restaurant. Honestly, everything is extremely good on the menu. If you find yourself in Cincinnati, you have to eat here.

Luv the help here. The ladies work their butts off. It's such a classic original style diner, just being there was a Treat. The Food however, 😕well it wasn't bad. The 5way Cincy chili was just bland. It was OK, but far from great. Their recipe might be what many people like, just plain spaghetti and sauce, very weak flavor. I'll never eat it again. NOW, their Gravy on Fries, THAT has flavor. So I highly recommend get a side of gravy and pour that on your Chili as needed.

Cash only. Great 3 way spaghetti and chili dish I had with a coney island hot dog. I made sure I tried those 2 things here. They delivered for sure. This place and Skyline I'd say are Top 2 Extremely crowded if you don't come at the right time. Not the best dine in experience but the staff is nice considering they work very hard.

Great spot! Very customer first. Chili has nice spice and thickness. Coney comes covered with lots of cheese. It's in the top three of chili parlors!

Please note that THEY ONLY TAKE CASH! Luckily, there is an ATM in the restaurant. The food is good. The service was great. It's definitely in a run-down area, but there is plenty of light in the parking lot (had someone ask for money as I was entering the restaurant). This is the restaurant that we all frequented for food after going to the bars for many years when I was younger. Most of the items are high in fat but full of flavor. I had the reuben and gravy cheese fries, and both were delicious. It's more of a "hole in the wall" type place, but I'll definitely be back.

Didn't have a pleasant visit myself. I sat at the bar patiently as the waiters made drinks and had conversations with all the regulars as it seemed. She the finally asked was I picking up an order or placing an order. I told I was placing an order and she then proceeded to greet other regulars and took 3 orders from the other people before me. At that point I decided maybe my money wasn't worth it to them, so left and definitely won't return. It's like they were more concerned about the regular customers and getting a good tip instead of showing good customer service to everyone 🙄

Really reasonable prices on their menu compared to most other restaurants. Limited seating available inside. It was extremely busy when I stopped here for lunch. There were no seats available so I asked a family if I could sit on the end of their table. They allowed me to sit there, then without notice, my bill was paid in full by that family. It was really unexpected but very generous. Food was good, portions were large, prices were low. This all makes for a positive experience.

Just waited a hour for some gravy fries and a hoagie and as I'm sitting there waiting, I watched others come in after me, place their order and receive their order before me. When I asked why it takes a hour for my order, I was told "if you want faster service call in ahead!" Not even close to being acceptable customer service.
