My husband and I visited Natchez on our way to the Gulf Coast from Tulsa. The hosts are thoughtful and knowledgeable about local history, and offered us drinks and a home tour when we arrived. Our room was quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast. The only reason this did not receive a five star rating was the very tiny bathroom. The porch looking out over the garden is delightful, with comfortable outside furniture and a porch swing. Our hosts made great dinner recommendations, too, and made our reservations for us. We would love to visit again.
We celebrated our 50th Anniversary at this beautiful B & B and could not be more pleased. The rooms were very nicely furnished, the beds comfortable and the common areas were quite nice. John and Valerie made our celebration special with several toasts and a tour of their beautiful home. Shawanda was a delight, making wonderful breakfasts and chatting about daily life in Natchez, making us want to live there. We will definately be back.
Last month we stayed at Pleasant Hill for the fourth time, our first time there since the COVID pandemic. It was like being "home." This lovely B&B could not be more accommodating. The sun room, back porch (with swing) and back yard are so restful for reading, sitting and having coffee. There are three guest rooms now (instead of four on our last stay), each elegant and comfortably furnished. A highlight of this special place are the breakfasts. At 8:30 AM Schwanda presents a delicious variety of morning offerings, each more delicious than the last. The location of the B&B could not be better, easy walking distance to downtown shopping and some of this historic city's highlights. When next in Natchez, consider Pleasant Hill as your home away from home.
Valerie and John have a beautiful, historic and welcoming home in this gorgeous part of the world. We arrived after a long hot drive and a crisp glass of wine and a ‘healthy’ martini were thrust into our hands as we toured their lovely private home. The converted lower ground floor was the perfect, self-contained suite complete with tropical lounge and breakfast area and great bedrooms with small but perfectly formed bathrooms that reflected the aesthetic upstairs. Take their recommendations on eating out. The Magnolia Grill was the perfect sunset supper overlooking the Mississippi - and because they booked it we got a terrific table on the porch. Finished the night off overlooking their wonderful garden (manicured by Kenny) and started the next day with the best grits I’ve had in 2 weeks (courtesy of Shawanda). HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
My wife and I were met at the front door of Pleasant Hill BNB in Natchez by the owner Valerie Bergeron. After being invited into her beautiful circa 1850 home we were given a personal tour and history of the home. We were shown our lovely king size room and invited to come back up after we got settled in to meet John, Valerie's husband.||||John & Valerie made suggestions for restaurants in town and were kind enough to make us a reservation on Thursday night at Magnolia Grille on the river and then 1818 Retaurant for Friday.||||The breakfasts we were served were exceptional. A baked French toast on Friday morning and a stuffed French toast on Saturday.||||Great location, gracious hosts and beautiful home; what more could we have asked for!
This place is amazing! Made so by the hosts and the help! Extremely gracious and helpful. The accommodations were wonderful. But more importantly, the “people” involved in making our stay memorable were beyond hospitable! A great stay in Natchez, made even better by good people! Would recommend and stay again in a heart beat!

Cool place. Right next to Mississippi River . We went 5pm not crowded at all. Easy street parking. Pizza was really good! Spicy honey was different but tasty. You could sit inside or out, plenty of seating.
