Plaza Inn & Suites - Hotel in Ashland - 98 Central Ave, USA

5 stars all the way! The room was exceptional. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The staff was simply amazing. Friendly, helpful and extremely good at their jobs. I was very happy with my stay and I will definitely be back.

The hotel was spotless; so was the room. The location is amazingly close to the busy downtown area, but is secluded and quiet. We got a beautiful, rather large "fireplace" room with a view for a very good rate. The grounds along the creek are very pretty and inviting. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking is free. We will be back for sure.

I honestly can't say enough good things about my experience at Plaza Inn! I was down here attending the Shakespeare Festival in August and everyone here was so nice and helpful! I was worried at first, because this was my first time planning a trip and travelling all by myself, and I had some accommodation needs that I was concerned they wouldn't be able to meet, but they followed everything perfectly! Rooms: I was very impressed with the accessibility of the ADA room I booked; the shower was exactly what I needed, a walk/roll in shower with no step and a bench. The whole room was designed very thoughtfully; the beds were lower than I've seen in other hotel rooms to make it easier for someone to transfer between a wheelchair and the bed, the cabinet that the TV was in had doors that opened flush with the cabinet walls so the doors weren't in the walkway, and the counters had plenty of space underneath. Staff: Everyone at the front desk was so nice and helpful! From recommending local restaurants, to identifying birds (it was a Northern Flicker by the way if you're reading this), to making checking in/out a breeze, I really appreciated everyone there. Price: I ended up paying over $560 for three nights, but it was a weekend in august, which is arguably their busiest time of year . Honestly, it was well worth it to have the guarantee that it would meet my accessibility needs (as opposed to an airbnb or something), and because my stay was so great. Extras: They have a puzzle room, which is one of the classiest things I've ever seen lol. They have a lift for wheelchair users to be able to use their spa, which is so incredible. I didn't get to see it in action, but it's awesome they have it. They show Saturday morning cartoons (like, old school, Scooby Doo and stuff) in the continental breakfast area on weekends. They'll hold your bags for you after you check out if you don't leave for a few hours (like, check out is 11, but I didn't need to leave to go home until like 2, so they kept my stuff while I continued to explore Ashland and didn't have to schlep my bags around). I had a phenomenal time in Ashland and am tempted to make this a yearly pilgrimage going down there, and if I do, I know where I'll be staying!

I would have given it a 5 if breakfast hadn’t been so bad and I could have had hot water in my room.They serve until 10:00, we got there at 9:00 each morning and there was no coffee, no silver, etc. Yes they were busy and I get that but they could have done better knowing it was busy, it was a full hotel and had one girl working. | I had tepid water the first shower and it was worse the next morning. I talked to the woman at the front desk and she be told me no one else had a problem but she would send a manager up, I passed on that as it is impossible that my room was the only one with that problem and it really bothered me that she was acting like I was the problem. Too bad, could have been great :(

Great location! No pool and hot tub is broken.. room smelled kinda funky but otherwise it was a nice stay. They also have a good hotel breakfast.

Great room. Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows. I had a problem with my heating unit when I first arrived. The maintenance attendant arrived within minutes and fixed it quickly with a smile. I was completely comfortable. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming.

I stayed in a pet friendly room with my dog, nice size room on the second floor (no elevators). Found ants in the bathroom and on the windowsill so that's why I gave only 3 stars.

I read a ton of negative reviews after I had already booked and was so worried but the hotel was great! We got a amazing room a week before a holiday weekend. Check in was quick and ready before check in time. Room was clean and very spacious. There was plenty of hot water. Breakfast was tasty and hot, and included which is always a plus. Incredible location, 5 minute walk to some wonderful spots in Ashland. The hotel is old but full of character, the grounds are gorgeous, and the staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back!
