Plaza Hotel Fort Lauderdale - Featured Reviews (4869)
Stayed here for a few week and things were okay at first. The hotel room looked nothing like they do online but it was tolerable. The bathrooms were somewhat clean, the shower has barely any water pressure, and the hot water works sometimes. The drain also stopped working out of no where for a few days. The TVs barely worked since the WiFi is one of the worst things about this place. It would connect and disconnect all the time to the point it was better to use my phones data. Don’t expect to get much work done or use any of your devices while connected. The staff were both nice and rude depending on who you talked to. I asked for no room service but they still came to the room anyway almost everyday. Of course when I needed toilet paper or clean towels they would always deliver. In the duration of my stay, I had to extend a few times and even had to switch rooms to which they messed up on every single time I had to do so. Especially the extensions, whenever I did pay to extend my stay they always came up at 11 am regardless. I always went to the front desk to make sure everything was fine and got new keys so they would stop knocking at my door. Without fail they knocked every single time about checkout even though I had already confirmed I was extending with the front desk. I don’t know what goes on at the front desk but they seem to mess up a lot, at least from my experience dealing with them. Oh and don’t bring your pets here even though it says “pet friendly” when they charged me over $400 for a pet fee when I checked out. Some of the rooms don’t have microwaves while some do. The guest themselves were so loud and the walls are very thing. You can here every argument and even just people talking casually. The area around the hotel isn’t too bad. There’s plenty of stores you can walk to and there’s some food trucks that come out at night. I had dinner there one night and it was soo good I can’t recommend it enough. This hotel may be cheap but seriously don’t waste your money it’s not worth the headaches this place caused me.
This hotel deserves no stars.
It’s false advertising, the rooms are nothing like the pictures, it smells disgusting, halls are so dirty, bathroom is absolutely gross. Good thing I found somewhere else for my family to go because it was a family trip, same price and totally worth it unlike this hotel!!!!
If you like to live in things like garbage this is the exact hotel you need. I only didn’t sue for false advertising because I had to enjoy my trip and not let it get to my head.
This is definitely the worst hotel I've stayed.
-First they gave me a room with with no TV, no Microwave, no fridge.
- The carpet in the hallway was completely wet and smelled bad
- And the worst my experience was when i woke up the next day my entire body had PIMPLES. This never happened to me before.
It seems like they never change the blanket and now in just 2 days at that hotel i can count almost 40 Pimples in my entire body 😐😑
The hotel did not match the website or photos. Our four-day stay was extremely disappointing. The elevator was broken, and the stairway doors were locked, trapping us in the stairwell. They didn’t provide water bottles, and the water from the vending machine was overpriced. The overall smell was unpleasant, and the interior was run-down despite a fancy exterior. The bathrooms were particularly bad, worse than a portable toilet. I recommend avoiding this place and checking the room thoroughly before booking elsewhere.
This hotel is only for hookers, drug addicts, and ghetto places I have seen in my life. The front desk manager, Aka Kathy, and the head of security are so unprofessional that they're exactly where they needed to be.
The front desk manager won't let my husband check in because another guest had an issue with his room. My husband was trying to help her with the situation in his native language, and because of that, she said she refused to check him and me in. With the simple mindset that the front desk manager and head of security know, I could’ve been a secret shopper. I’ve been in the industry for many years, and this is the first I've ever heard you can check in people if you feel like it. I guess revenue doesn't matter, so I could only rate one star, but if I could, I would rate negative zero, which is too high.
What a joke of a place! I hope the General Manager and the Regional manager get to see this. If not, word of mouth is still powerful
Do me a favor and please listen to the reviews. 0 out of 10 across-the-board. my boyfriend was bamboozled by the misleading pictures on the website! This place is a scam and left us very disappointed during our anniversary.
This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at & honestly it’s giving motel. We walked in the room and didn’t even want to sit on the bed. First thing I did was check the sheets which were dirty on both beds, but luckily no bugs. When we ask for more sheets, they gave us towels. We felt so uncomfortable and my boyfriend wouldn’t even use the sink to brush his teeth. And it looks like all the doors have been broken into. I kid you not my boyfriend pushed the door and it opened, so we had to sleep with a chair under the door knob to be a little bit more comfortable. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY !
The rooms were freaking old and the hallways were dirty. I felt like I was in a housing project building that I paid $91 for night to stay in. The admin area is really well developed and that’s how they catfish you. There was piles of trash left in front of the rooms and the elevators.
By far the worst experience. The room was disgusting. Doors kicked in on many of the rooms. Cigarettes burn marks on the tub, and the dresser is broken. That is just a few things, to say the least. It looked like a crime scene in that place. They had the nerve to ask is there a problem when we decided NOT to stay there. They were going to give the key we returned to the room to the next person ready to check in. READ THE REVIEWS! Looks nothing like the pictures on the site. They will fight to return your money. IT IS A SCAM! The manager KATHY was so unprofessional.
