Plantation Oaks Suites & Inn - Featured Reviews (415)
Too often we do our reviews, we don't take the time to give a little context. We stayed this prior weekend as I am beginning the process of developing my business. It started at check-in has my fiance could not stop talking about how amazingly kind, warm, and welcoming woman, Rhonda, working the front office had been that evening. As we got to our room, we could not have been more pleased. The room what spacious, immaculate, and had a comforting, calming feel to it paralleling my fiance's experience with the front desk prior. As I'm in the process of opening the second part of my business in that area, and given the fact we absolutely fell in love with a hotel, the people, and the location we decided to inquire about staying for an extended period of time with the manager and/or owner. The following day, we ended up having a personal tragedy in the family and it has delayed our going back until the end of this week. I had a important financial document sent there, and I have checked in each day. The woman running the front office has been simply amazing, and only made us love this hotel even more. The management and ownership are professional, responsive, and do a great job running the hotel. We are just your average, hard working people; but staying at Plantation Oaks, and soon for much longer, and if you want an affordable, place to stay with the feel of a home, this is the place. Best experience we have had yet.
I had a really good stay. The front desk lady named Megan was super helpful. I booked a room through a third party and I went in to check. She was more than helpful. I had been driving the night before and she helped me check in early with an already ready room rather than me waiting until 3 to check in. I would highly recommend this again. Location is very awkward but I think it’s nothing to cry about. The place was quiet and I enjoyed my night. Thank you again Ms. Megan! You’ve been wonderful.
I have previously stayed here a couple of times before: comfortable rooms, nice and clean, very friendly staff. Unfortunately, this time was nothing like it. If I would have been told when I checked in that I was not going to receive room service all week, I may have thought twice about staying here. If I needed anything (new towels, toilet paper, extra amenities, etc), I personally had to come get it, along with make my own bed and dump my own trash. Room itself was very, very basic. For me, I can tolerate this kind of stuff, since I’m alone here for work, though there is nothing better to coming back to a nice clean and freshly made up room after a day’s work. When I asked about this at the front desk, they told me that it was all precautions and safety for Covid. Seriously? We’re not in a pandemic anymore and that was a very poor answer, in my opinion, especially because every other hotel in the area are doing daily or at least every other day cleaning rooms (I have co-workers staying there. I simply stayed because I was set up and unpacked for the week before learning of these issues. Even if you are very tolerant for situations like this, I cannot confidently recommend this place for anyone. This breaks my heart because this used to be a great property and establishment.
It's a shame that this place isn't run better because it has potential. And it's NOT the staff that's the problem because they are just as friendly and as helpful as they are allowed to be, but their hands are tied because the family that owns the hotel won't let them do anything. The owners are too cheap to make any of the needed repairs. I had been staying here for months for work and I had to move because they promised me for 5½ weeks they were going to fix the A/C in my room and never did. I just kept getting excuses from them and them stalling. It finally got so bad from all the excessive moisture in my room that mold started growing on all the surfaces. (See the pictures I posted) I have many more complaints with this place, but this post would be far too long. BOTTOM LINE: find somewhere else to stay. Sadly the owners don't care about the customers and can't trusted.
This place is the worst place ever . If you’re a biracial couple you will be treated poorly . Me and my boyfriend booked a room through expedia we get there and was told we were using someone else name to book a room my boyfriend had his id so she had to come up with another lie and say we smoked in the room ? So i asked her if we smoked in the room why wasnt i being charged for smoking. So she lied like she called a manager which she called the night audit guy and acted as if he was the manager. I called the police to get my money back . Then the old lady at the front desk is taking cash from customers which is something shes not suppose to do
Went about 15 miles out of our way to stay here due to closer hotels having bad reviews and so glad we did. The check in and staff was great. When traveling with a service dog this is not always the case. This is not a 4 star hotel, and that's not what I expected. The room was clean, sanitary, and nice. It actually smelled fresh and clean. Not a single creepy crawling thing seen unlike many other hotels in the area reported. Light grab and go breakfast. Great hotel for the value.
SIL was nice enough to get my family and I a room since we are in the middle of a move and have no water at the house at the moment. The beds are as hard as box springs. The vending machines are out… the gas station is closed… the dresser is missing a drawer. They give you the smallest “bar” of soap I’ve ever seen. And no fridge, that’s only important because I have a toddler who needs milk. Most hotels have mini fridges in the rooms… The outside looks sketch… no wonder she said they were running a “special”… wouldn’t recommend this place to a truck driver.
I myself did not stay here but my college son stayed here with his baseball team. The hotel is close to the stadium and there are plenty of restaurants in the area. I hope I can post the pics he sent me. I went to Walmart to buy sheets, Lysol and Clorox wipes. Dead gnats covered the air unit and the smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag! He said the hallway reeked of marijuana. Decide for yourself but I sure wouldn’t stay there! If you do, I suggest taking cleaning supplies and a set of sheets ! Unacceptable to have to pay for these kind of accommodations.
Really great dive bar in the middle of nowhere! Karaoke is always fun here, I highly recommend it, can be smokey so if that bothers you might not be the place for you. They have 2 pool tables, darts and others games as well. Nice fire pit out back
I love the staff here so much!!! Their doughnuts are always fresh and their food is always fresh to order!!!!! Worth the drive from where I live for sure :) wish I could go there every morning, but I definitely start soon!!
Wanted to try something new with Mom and this place popped up. When I say their grilled chicken omelet is amazing, I'm saying it's slap yo mama good. Mom got the Philly cheese steak omelet and she was just as happy. The people are great and food coul
We stopped on our cross country move because it had the best reviews. I walked in and asked about sitting outside on a patio or if our pup was allowed inside. They offered us either and said he was more than welcomed. They were the sweetest people we
WOW! Olympic Steak & Pizza is INCREDIBLE! ð I went here with my family for Father's Day dinner. The amount of food we got for what we spent was entirely with it, and it wasn't overpriced! I ordered the Beef Teriyaki with a side of onion rings and
Got to be the safest place in Millington. Police and State Troopers saturated. Like being at K Mart in the old days with the blue light special. Fuel, food and Goodwill. Got it all here folks.
I love that they have a gated area for the little ones! Very well thought out park area placenta and there is a pavilion and bathrooms centrally located.
Food, amazing. Service, again amazing!! They had a problem seating a family of 6 at 1st. No one wanted to serve us so we had to wait 30 min for another server to come in an get her station ready to serve us.... that was the ONLY downside. Everything
