Plantation Island - Resort hotel in Ormond Beach - 187 S Atlantic Ave, USA

Cozy. Friendly people. Perfect location right on the beach. If you need a fancy room with new furniture, not your place. But if you're content with comfortable, homey, and friendly, this is great. Our 1 bedroom unit was big enough for 2 people if you like each other. There's only room for a double bed.

My wife and I have been coming to Plantation Island for thirty years as tome share owners. The Court Yard building is an old art deco erra building. It has stood the test of several hurricanes in that time. The building only required minor repairs. Recently, the units have been updated, new kitchen cabinets, carpets replaced, bathroom upgrades on going. The landscape just had a major renovation, which is very nice. Although this resort may never hit 5 ☆ status, it has many pluses. Sitting right on one of the most beautiful sand beaches anywhere. Very comfortable functional units, our family of 4 were quite happy in a court yard studio, a little tight, but we made it work. We now have a 2 bed room. Lots of space for four, six if you all get along well. An added bonus of watching rockets launch. Recently, Space X has been launching more than once a week. Night launches are spectacular.

A great group of people who work and who were staying here. The rooms are kinda dated but well maintained. They are definitely on the beach. High tide hits the back retainer wall. I think it's overall very nice place.

My father in law comes to visit multiple times a year and we've tried several resorts. He joined in on several daily activities and had a blast. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and were a pleasure to interact with. The room was tiny, but when you have a spectacular view, you don't want to be in your room anyway.

The location makes this place. Right ON the beach with amazing views from our living room/dining area.; floor to ceiling windows. We stayed in the tower. The resort is a bit dated and could use a paint job, but honestly it was very clean. No problems parking. Front desk and maintenance man were very friendly, laundry lady not so much LOL! Tower pool wasn't heated so brrrrr, but the 2nd pool was warm. 3 small separate hottubs. BBQ grills are charcoal only and looked kinda beat up. Kitchen is small but functional, we had a 2BR, 2BA, LR and DR area on the 5th floor. Tons of restaurants in the area.

Beach views, sunrise every morning right over the water. Access to the beach. Short walk to the beach. My family and I couldn’t even believe the beauty. We saw dolphins, and huge pelicans. The weather was amazing. They offered breakfast for purchase and had activities for both adults and kids. It’s super close to restaurants and IHOP is right across the street, so is a souvenir store. The room is dated but functional. Has air conditioning more so in the bedroom. If you’re sleeping in the couch bed it takes blasting the air to reach you which freezes the bedroom sleepers. It’s a timeshare but family owned unlike the privately owned. Guests that have shares there were really informative and kind. We enjoyed our stay. Wish we could stay longer.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The living room furniture was old and outdated. The full kitchen was so small you couldn’t open the dishwasher without touching the other side of the wall. The other rooms was of good size. The view was beautiful but no balcony, just a big window that would slide open from your chest up.

The beach and the main pool were nice. Everything else was terrible. It is in dire need of renovation. Very small 1 bedroom. Dirty, dingy, uncomfortable furniture. Even though there is a stove and full size refrigerator, the kitchen is useless because there is no prep area. It was difficult to even make a sandwich. Would not go back.
