Pizza Craft Italian Specialties & Cocktail Bar - Restaurant in Fort Lauderdale - 330 Himmarshee St #1, USA

Saw this place from Dave Portnoy, so had to check it out when I came to town. Overall, this place isn’t nothing to write home about- just my opinion. The server was nice, no complaints there but the pizza was alright. Had that good pizza oven aspect to it but flavor wise wasn’t too impressed. We got the meatball and basil pizza. They didn’t have ranch to dip the crush in. Glad I got to experience it though.

The lack of customer service is what really made this whole experience a one star. We asked to be seated at the big family table. Stephanie the hostess said it was reserved. We ordered our food to go and the entire time we sat our family of 8 waiting for the order not a single soul was seated at the large table. They had other tables but the hostess refused to put two tables together for our family, even though there was another family who they did that for. When I brought the lack of customer service to the manager’s attention her response was let me check. She didn’t apologize, she said I’ll look into it. Then our order was totally forgotten about. We had to go back in and ask them if it was ready for pickup. They didn’t even include any forks for our pasta.

Good food. Brought my family on a pretty quiet Friday night relative to the area and sat outside. Pizza was very solid. Calamari was also very good. Wanted to order some additional food, drinks and desserts after our main course while we were waiting for our train. Our server had other plans, dropped our check and walked off. This was after being pretty short with us when we had a light initial food order. Probably a great option if you just wanna grab some food to go and eat by the nearby Riverwalk.

A pizza lover's dream - Dave Portnoy rated their pizza 8.1 and it does not disappoint. The vodka, dolce vita and spicy soppressata pizzas are culinary marvels. Hats off to the courteous and welcoming staff on a relatively busy evening, accommodating a large group with kids included. All snacks are truly fantastic, but the fiocchi and ricotta bruschetta are must tries. Generous portions for pasta and parmigiana dishes as well. Will return again!

Decided to try after seeing all the hype from David! Salad and pizza are very good. Ambiance is good! Drinks are awesome. Service is very bad! But for 1 experienced server, all the employees look bothered at all times. It feels uncomfortable to be there. It's a shame because the food is very good. I'm not coming back.

If you go here, stick with the simple tomato and basil pizza. We tried several dishes, including pizzas with toppings, and they were all a disappointment except for the simplest of their pizzas. In addition, two of us who shared part of the same chicken dish hot food poisoning. Yes, it was from here. We immediately tasted a funk to the chicken and sent it back. We still got sick. Only two of us got sick, this is the only meal we both ate within a reasonable time frame, and we are the only two who tried the funky chicken. I gave this place an additional star because our server was fantastic. She was absolutely phenomenal.

The Chicken Formaggio was tasty and huge, enough for 2 people. The staff members were also helpful, agile and friendly. However, the cheese cake was not a pleasant surprise because it tasted so funny, more likely a very thick flan cake made with some cheese.

Pizza Craft Italian Specialties is a really cool place to have good pizza at and is one of the best places in the Fort Lauderdale area. You can order online and pick-up your order or dine inside. Kudos to whoever decorated because they did a great job. PizzaCraft is not only a pizzeria but also has different Italian specialties that are so good! The first time we went there on 03/22/23, we ordered chicken wings that had the most delicious gravy/sauce on the plump, juicy wings!!! We also ordered their nutella pizza, but it was just ok. We have tasted better at other resturaunts. However, the second time on 03/28/23 when we ordered online and stopped by to pick up our order, they had put a different, very spicy sauce on the wings that made our mouths burn for a half hour. Yuck! It ruined the taste of the chicken. We were really disappointed because that wasn't what we ordered! But we didn't know until we got home to Miami Beach, and it wasn't like we could turn around to return the order, so we were stuck. Now, we aren't sure that we will go back for their chicken wings after that experience. If we hadn't had the second experience, I would give this place 5 stars. Easy parking on the street, btw, in a beautiful area.
