The rooms were dirty. We wiped a towel across the floor as soon as we got there and it was black from dirt. Thank god I brought my slippers. We were woken up by the police banging on the door of the room next to us at 4am. The “dog area” has broken glass outside the gate, trash and a back fence broken down with shards of wood everywhere. Dog feces all around the grassy areas that I understand the owners should pick up but if not then staff should be keeping the grounds clean. Dead yellow jackets on the breezeway outside our room that our dog could have tried to eat and been stung. There were multiple roaches, flies and spiders we had to kill. The door jams are so old you can see the light from outsides on all edges which probably contributes to the insects. The sheets were sandy. The TV stopped working and when we asked them to fix it, the front desk associate was less than helpful. When I asked for a room change I was told there were not any other rooms available (mind you this is a Sunday night and we were 1 of 4 cars in the parking lot). When I brought up the insect problem I was told she would call her manager but it wasn’t guaranteed the manager would answer the phone or get back to her that night. We get a knock on the door and we’re told we could move to the room next door at around 9pm. The new room was a little better until I showered. As I was drying off I noticed something black on my leg, it was a dead fly that was on the towel. Absolutely disgusting. The restaurant on site was sub par. Hostess staff was rude. Food was gross. Drinks were cold. The band playing Saturday night definitely attracted the type of crowd that frowned upon interracial couples like my boyfriend and I. We received some “looks” if you know what I mean. The hotel has signs in the lobby that say “show us your five star review to get two free coozies” which definitely is misleading when you’re from out of town and are judging a place by google stars. ZERO OUT OF TEN WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

This place is alright, but I doubt we’ll stay here again. We booked a king room for two nights. The room seemed clean, but there were a few spiders and baby roaches. The only complaint I have is that a young man from housekeeping kept unlocking the door and walking into our room the morning we were leaving. It started around 10am, and he walked into the room five different times asking if we were done yet. Check out isn’t until 11am, so we found this really odd. Staff should not be allowed to barge into the room before check out time or while guests are still there. I seen another review from about three months ago that said this same man walked into the room while a woman and her partner were naked. That’s ridiculous. Good thing that wasn’t the case for us, because my boyfriend would’ve lost it and the cops would’ve been called.

I enjoyed this place more than words can describe. The room was a great size and clean. The pool was always clean. It was quiet and peaceful. They have benches outside each room so you can enjoy the fresh air. Restaurant right next door was great. The staff was friendly and professional. You really never have to drive anywhere because everything is in walking distance. We will be returning in future.

I never give reviews, but I think this place needs one! For the price, it is a five-star. I stayed for four days in the king room, and it has everything you need. The location is perfect - I didn't move the car from the parking lot; everything is within walking distance from the hotel. The room is simple, and it does need a closet space!!, but it was clean and spacious. I would definitely book again. Also, the restaurants around the property are a must-try

I stayed at this motel with my family and we had a great time! There was multiple attractions nearby in a walkable distance and a wonderful restaurant right beside the motel. The staff was wonderful and cared a lot about our stay. They made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive. The staff at the restaurant right beside the motel was also great, they cared about our time there and the live music and food was amazing. Many games and fun activities for the kids as well. The rooms are very clean and nice for the price paid. My family and I loved our stay down in Carolina Beach and will revisiting again next year1

Location is perfect if you want to be within walking distance of the beach, bars, and restaurants…for a party pad - it’s great. You can hear music from the restaurant next door…really good bands playing. We woke up to beer cans tossed on our truck bed liner…guessing that was from bar/restaurant traffic??? Definitely not for older guests or those with children. Staff was extremely nice - housekeeping seems to do the best they can…considering what they’re working with. The bathroom in the unit I stayed in was pretty disgusting. Black mold seeping through what seemed to be an attempt at updating the paint color. Shower curtain had mold spores and was just gross…definitely needs changing. The bed was comfy, good quality pillows and clean sheets. We stayed 2 nights, we couldn’t watch TV for the first 29 hours we were there - not cool at all - that should have been disclosed before checking in. Staff said Spectrum was out and had been having issues all week. They were apologetic and even attempted changing our room but it didn’t have cable either. I called Spectrum myself…they told me that service was not out in the area. I was headed to the office to let the front desk person know that Spectrum ppl said there were no issues with services…but I saw a guy in the parking lot carrying a drill. I asked if he was there to fix the cable - he said well no but are you having a problem with your tv or remote!??? He ended up installing a new tv while we were out to dinner…Im thankful for him - seems to be a knowledgeable maintenance / fix-it guy. We were able to stream Netflix from my phone to the new TV. I personally don’t think they have enough bandwidth to cover the amount of units plus the streaming for the restaurant. Very small pool and not enough lounge chairs to accommodate many people at all. We stayed Labor Day weekend… last minute with no reservations, so we had to take what we could find. I guess it wasn’t too bad for $185 per night. I did find better nightly rates elsewhere but this location was better for us.

Very affordable rooms. We were in town visiting my daughter. it was one of the few hotels that accepted pets without ridiculous fees. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Our room was clean and the pillows were very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back.

I had a great experience here! The pool was relaxing as well as hearing music coming from the restaurant. Once we were done at the pool we headed over to the restaurant and gotten a great meal with a discount because I stayed at the hotel!! Much appreciated!! Lastly my room and the location of the hotel was amazing. I was able to walk everywhere and even get to the beach easily! I’m definitely coming back here! Thank you guys for an amazing experience at this hotel!!

Where my dream started. It’s all because a boy asked me on a date and he took me to this exact spot 8 years ago. Bbq burgers on the beach and watched a full moon rise! You could drive all the way down back then and it was much cheaper! Fast forward

Great location. And a good deal. The old-school 2nd-floor 2-BR suite was very clean. Nice view of Carolina Lake. Short walk to the beach. No complaints. Would/will do it again. Mary runs a tidy ship.

Loved Carolina Beach. The boardwalk fireworks show was the best I have ever seen in my life. Brits Donuts is a must, and all the shops are great. Super ice cream shops too.

Best run business in the area. Beyond efficient. Small breakfast house with delish home-cooked meals. Fresh and well prepared southern breakfast along with many new school options. Grits were among the best I've ever had. And I eat them several times
