Great little park with unique equipment and a sandbox with shovels and dump trucks. Has rubberized padding around equipment and is fenced in. Bathrooms close by. Definitely worth the trip.

Great little park with lots of different toys. They have diggers which you don't see a lot of in Florida and my son loves them. Very clean and shady which makes it comfortable for parents as well.

Children love exercising and most Americans are indolent ! Don't be an Idiot, take your kids here to exercise, get fresh air, & socialize with others ! Exercise is very important especially your young ones !

Perfect for toddlers. Decent shade coverage from trees. Plenty of seating for parents as well. My toddlers love bringing their tricycles and riding around the place in addition to the fixtures.

I love this playground for little kids! My baby girl is 19 months old, and I'm trying to have her around other kids since she is mostly at home with me. This is the perfect place, since you can easily find young kids, around 2-3 yo. Plus, it's well kept.

Pirate Playground, fondly called "Pirate Park" by my precious four-year old grandson, has quickly become one of our most favorite places to visit when together and always a time of JOY! My sweet little pirate and I love to go off on day adventures together, exploring exquisite Amelia Island several times each week. As a nana, I honestly cannot think of a more invigorating spot on this beautiful island when seeking a perfect balance of boundless play and relaxation...this beautiful setting has found a way to appeal to all the senses! Relaxation is immediately felt upon entering the safety-gated grounds situated beneath the glorious canopy of oak trees, while added peace of mind comes from grounds that are strategically padded for safety to offer little pirates soft landings. Depending on the time of day you come for a visit, you will hear the rhythmic hum of chatter and laughter as your pirates will likely find fellow mates to interact with on an incredible array of equipment meant to stretch not only their growing muscles but also their limitless imaginations, as they run, swing, sway, climb, spin and dig! Industrious pirates will likely be found digging and building amidst the sand and water features, while musical pirates may play on the jumbo xylophone. There are plenty of shaded benches throughout if you choose to sit awhile and just watch little imaginations at play! I believe this little piece of heaven on earth was meant to appeal not only to adventurous pirates, but their caretakers too. Pirate Playground to me, is a rare treasure...one just waiting to be discovered!

Place has seen some better days. I was here not long after it opened (2014) when my son was almost 2. Came here again with my second child who is about that same age and I can definitely tell the maintenance has not been kept up that well over the years. The sand is almost completely gone, the water spout no longer works, the music making devices are very worn down and the metal ones done seem to be working. It is a very cool looking playground, one that has the most shade in the area, but needs some TLC.

My kids really enjoyed playing here. Even the teenagers. Has really cool playground. Not the normal park. It's behind the pool. GPS didn't get us quite there.

We've been following Betty for years! So I think that in itself says we're pretty impressed! Personally what is most valuable to me is that Betty will meet you where you're at. She believes in you and encourages you. When you feel like you can't
