My niece has a blast at the splash pad when she comes to visit. We are very fortunate to have so many awesome parks in Kearney. I really like this splash pad also because it is in the shade!
Nice shady Park. Had a nice picnic. Highly recommend.
Though a somewhat smaller park, it is never crowded. There is a picnic area, baseball field, basketball hoop, playground, restroom, and they are currently building a splash park. There is a surprising amount of space to run around and throw a frisbee, or anything else that you would like to do.
Great park that's has a lot of shade. They also recently added a small splash pad to it.
We love Pioneer park. Lots of trees, green space, good playground equipment and a splash pad. Plus bathrooms.
Kids loved the park. Just need an dog area so they can run around also

Cottonmill Park
We biked the Kearney (Kar-nay) Hike and Bike Trail. Began at Cottonmill Park, rode through Yanney Park (didn't spot any Sandhill Cranes :( )and ended at the Archway Monument. Beautiful country!

Great Plains Cultural Learning Trail
A don't miss part of I80. Well worth the stop. Missed it on our way west, glad we were able to visit on our way back east. This was a great place to stop and I believe it would be interesting for children 7 and up depending on how much they enjoy lea
