Front desk was super nice, but there were so many needed repairs, we left 4 days early (toilet kept leaking and my socks would get wet, heat in the bathroom didn't work, outlets were so worn out the plug wouldn't stay in, 2 stove elements wouldn't heat). Beautiful view from our room though. Great location. Beds were very comfortable, room was warm. Furniture was comfy. Kitchen had plenty of amenities.
If you want to take a journey down memory lane to the 60s, this is your place. If you want a good nights' rest on comfortable mattresses with good linens, book elsewhere. The kitchen has been recently updated and it is a nice improvement. The other furnishings are dated and wood surfaces are sticky. There's worn carpet throughout. The best part of the rooms is the view of the bay and private beach area. Unfortunately, each balcony is not private and is just a public thoroughfare for other guests to wander along. Neither the A/C nor heating units on the walls were working or adjustable. A temporary A/C unit was plugged into the bedroom and provided white noise and some relief from the heat.The front desk staff was welcoming and friendly.
The front desk serve is fantastic. The rooms are definitely dated but the price/rate is good. The location is also fantastic. It's good enough if you want a place to stay a night or two for the price. Some room updating is surely needed 😅.
We had the best stay here! Loved being in a suite! Loved the view on the beach! Wish we could have stayed longer than one night! Fun pool table in the game room!
Wonderful resort centrally located in the Northern Michigan. Resort had nice, updated appliances. The pool and hot tube were well maintained. Many hiking and bicycling trails available directly from the resort.
Positive: Staff was very kind Negative: The wallpaper is falling of the walls - there were marks on the sheets - we laid down towels to sleep. The balcony has rust all around it - the room smelled like old smoke. It was definitely not a 3 star hotel.
Wow!!! What a great spot. Beautiful rooms, nice pool and hot tub. Fran from the front desk was wonderful - so helpful and genuine!!! Def stay here if you have the chance :)
I’ve owned here for quite a few years. The staff & service are AMAZING! The pool & hottub & sauna are always clean. Great view of Grand Traverse Bay!
