Trails range from moderate to hard. Both take you to the summit. You can make a loop by taking different trails to and from, or point and back taking the same trail. The summit has nice views. Trails are very well marked and maintained.
View of Georgia at the Overlook is worth the hike. Well blazed and maintained trail (Thanks Cartersville!) Moderate hike and intensity. Low traffic. Leaves are just starting to turn…beautiful
Excellent hike but BEWARE there are thousands of YELLOW JACKETS in top of the mountain 😫 we hung out a bit anyway but we had no allergies. Beautiful hike though in backpack and pocketknife
Nice little hike to peak of Pine Mountain. Elevation is 1560 feet and you start around 750 feet. 1.23 miles to the top and there are some rocky and steeper sections of the trail. I feel that young kids would be ok here but older hikers would need a good hiking stick for some assistance. They do allow bikes here on some days....and some bikers choose to ignore those rules...just be weary of that if you have smaller children. Dog friendly as well.
Great place to hike. There are two different parking lots on either side of the park. The parking lot on the south side is much larger. Trails are heavily used but it's still a great hike.
It’s a nice trail to the top. West trail will take you about 30-45 minutes to hike to the top overlook.
Best mountain around to hike! Well traveled trails of east & west loop. Plenty of small wildlife such as squirrels, chipmunks, etc. Moderate hike, portions can be a strenuous with the straight up hill. Views at the top are great! Although in a few more years there probably won't be too much of a view due to tree growth.
Only a 20 min drive on 75N from Kennesaw. Beautiful view on the summit especially at sunset. Nice system of trails to choose from. All trails are under 5 miles unless you connect them. If you were to connect all in a day, you could probably make ten or so miles. Two parking lots on opposite sides and exits. Favorite spot for an impulsive hike and or run. 🥾 🥾🥾
