This place was very busy on a Wednesday at 6:00 pm and remained busy the whole time we were there. Wonderful service from Sarah. She was very attentive and checked on us often. The decor is a little dated but restaurant was clean. Good value for the cost. There are basically 3 vegetarian options: a salad, pasta with vegetables and a Beyond Meat Burger. We ordered the last 2. The Beyond Meat burger was very good. The pasta was good but a little bland.
We wanted to try out a local restaurant after visiting the Flight 93 Memorial. Pine Grill was a fantastic choice! Super friendly service, and the food was outstanding. The Italian Sausage soup special was so good, we will be dreaming about it. Everything tasted freshly made, and our food arrived quickly. Our server, Mary, was a gem. We often stop in Somerset on our way to visit family in Delaware, and we will be making Pine Grill a regular stop as well.
The place was HOPPING! We were happy to get a table. Our meals were good, although my husband's meat was overcooked. Our waitress was charming but run off her feet. The hotel desk clerk recommended the Pine Grill. We are glad she did.
Nice, quiet old timey restaurant in Somerset PA. Big menu, a lot of specials, daily soup. Good service and friendly staff. It can get busy on weekend dinners. Unfortunately they are no longer open for breakfast 😥
My wife and I went to this restaurant because it was highly recommended to us by our hotel Fairfield Inn & Suites, Somerset, PA. Food was great. So if you like traditional American food you go here. However, this place is NOT for non-white people. We are brown people originally from India but are senior US Citizens that have lived 2/3rd of our life in the US. For the very FIRST time in 44 years, we experienced the following: 1. No waiter greeted us for 15 minutes. After that we asked a waitress if we were too early for dinner. She then agreed to serve us. Note that other people who came after us were greeted immediately. 2. The waitress did not serve us bread and butter as other guests were. 3. Since the waitress was "nice" to us compared to others, we gave her a tip of approximately 25%. Normally we would have tipped her 30 to 33%. I had heard about such things from my friends. But this was the first time I personally experienced it in the USA (in 44 years)!!! AND it did not feel good!!!
Nice place with very good service. My meal (ribeye deckle) was excellent except for two things. The steak was a bit too salty, and I believe blue cheese dressing should have at least some blue cheese crumbles in it without having to specifically order them. Update Sept 9, 2023. Ribeye A++, Saffron Risotto w Shrimp & Fennell Salad A++ the place was pretty packed and loud, and the kitchen was backed up, so it took a while, but otherwise very good. Suggestion: look for off-peak times.
Good food. Reasonably priced. Ordered good for take out. Melissa was very friendly and helpful. We shared our pet stories and she was very accommodating when it came to our dogs order. We will definitely return. Great atmosphere.
Hands down the best chicken shwarma ever! The warm spices, the fresh herbs. the perfect char on the chicken! The only thing that would have made it better would have been a warm pita, but it was a definite winner. The fish and chips was excellent. The fish was huge. The chips were actually homemade potato chips. Crispy, crunchy deliciousness. Prices were very reasonable. The owner came by. He noticed a picture hanging on the wall just across from us was a tiny bit out of level and fixed it. That attention to detail is what makes this place a success. When you leave, go to the back parking lot for an unobstructed view of the Jenny Globe. It's cool. I only wish we had checked into our hotel before dinner. They have 10% off cards for Pine Grill at the front desk. But even at full price it was very well worth it. If you're in Somerset this is the place to go.

Hemlock Trail was the perfect magical winter hike for New Year's Day. Beautiful snow on trees. State park employee stopped to see if all was okay. Good to know they are patrolling. (Restroom was open and warm!)
Perhaps the nicest dog park Iâve ever been to. Big green space thatâs very well maintained. Lots of toys, bags, and other amenities. It also has a spigot and bowl for water too. I would come back often if I lived nearby.
Great rolling hills hiking/walking area both under tree canopy and out in open fields. Have outdoor programs for adults and children. Great for dogs. Located close to Somerset.

For our stay here, we came up from Fredericksburg Va and arrived in the dark. Hotel is located in a spot that would be hard to find the entry road without GPS leading the way. Front Desk staff was great when we arrived with a reservation for one nigh
