As a local. I love to sit on the porch with friends & a glass of wine. Annie & Sammy are both fantastic & take great care of their guests. Dinner here is always good too, no matter how big your group is. Order the porkchop - it's delicious!

This place is about 50-60 years overdue for some updates. Room looked like a prison cell. Shower water got hot and cold and hot and cold the whole time. Bedding is ancient. Bed was hard as a rock. Staff wasn't very friendly. This was NOT Cute with character. It was old and musty. The location was great, but that's about it.

Excellent boutique hotel. Wife an I stayed here for two days, and it was wonderful. No need to leave the hotel except to play golf. If you do decide to do anything else all is within walking distance. Beautiful downtown area surrounding the hotel. FYI -This hotel is privately owned and not owned by big corporate.

Love this place. Rooms can be somewhat out dated. However for me that is the charm of the inn. Very clean and the staff is amazing. Also a great bar with bar menu. Be sure to have the breakfast. On Sundays a bountiful breakfast/ brunch buffet.

I had the displeasure of visiting this place Friday night. The food was horrible. I thought 30 dollar short ribs would be better than I ever had before not the case they were dry and over sauced to try to make up for the dryness. Then to top it all off somehow I’m 15 ft and about 2 minutes the waitress manages to loose my card. They kept insisting they did not have it and kept telling me to look on my person. I empty everything I had on the table. I did not have my card!! The manager was not helpful at all and only offered to move the table again blaming me. If I could give negative stars this place deserves it.

We actually had a good experience here recently. Yes, it is an old building and not super up-to-date but it did seem like they brightened some of the paint recently (last visited several years ago). We stayed in a corner room on 2nd floor and it was clean and cozy with enough lamps so that it wasn’t too dark like some hotel rooms are. Bathroom was very clean and breakfast (included in the price) was tasty and the servers were friendly. Wouldn’t be a place we’d stay for multiple nights but definitely good for a quick overnight and location is great.

To be sure, the Pine Crest is rich in golf history. However, that time has come and gone. The bar tender and the check in staff was, to say the least, less than welcoming. I guess you have to be a local to get snacks at the bar! The room is very clean, but the corroded faucets and plug covers show the real age. The heating system in our room ran for six minutes, shut off, and ran for six minutes. This went on all night. The pillows were the original pillows, I swear. No two were the same and none were fluffy. The tub has tape in it to keep from slipping and some of that is coming up. Breakfast is included with the room - that is if you can get someone to wait on you. We never did get our juice. It is as reasonably priced hotel in a town where all the prices are sky high, but I'll pay more money next time and stay somewhere else.

Thoroughly enjoyed my 2 night stay here. I was in town for golf and this was a great little hotel. My room included breakfast in the restaurant which was a great American breakfast (other choices were available as well) and each staff member that we interacted with were personable, kind and made the stay a very pleasant one. The room was very large and had two large beds, two sinks, couch, two sitting chairs and two dressers. This hotel is located right in the heart of the village of Pinehurst. I'd stay here again without thinking and recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, comfortable, friendly place.

Beautiful place to take a walk. I went here with my mother and 2 boys. You can make the walk short or long which is always nice. My mom is handicap so sometimes we just take a short stroll but the scenery is always interesting and well kept.

1st visit, really nice location. Setting was pretty surreal with the history and sitting right off the green. Parking was easy. Service was top notch. And food and drinks were good. Prices were reasonable.
