Pine Ave Inn - Motel in Long Beach - 1770 Pine Ave, USA

I’m not one to write bad reviews but I have to share our experience with this motel. We had a reservation for tonight and had not heard from the owner/host on how to check in or confirmation. Upon arrival they told us at the front desk “all rooms were flooded” so we couldn’t stay. The front desk lady didn’t want to give us the owner's name so we knew something was fishy was going on. All in all we are trying to get our money back through Airbnb, but please do not stay here. It also was in a bad area. DO NOT recommend at all.

Ok so we have stayed in a lot of motels and hotels and the lady’s that were running this place on Christmas Eve deserve this review. They treated us like we were home on winter vacation from collage not complete strangers that were staying a night. We thought the rooms had fridges so they got a bag of ice and a cooler for us. Just the tip of the ice burg. On top of the treatment like we were at the Hilton the rooms are newly redone very tastefully. Somebody put some money into it and it shows I can tell you by the neighborhood that that place did not always look like that m. So whoever did it well done. Again to the staff this is the couple you help out thanks and happy new year.

Do not recommend this place at all, looks nothing like the pictures advertised. Location is not the best. Very disappointed with the service. I booked 2 rooms one of them was done being cleaned by 2:00pm which is fine since that is the check in time but the tv doesn’t work and there was roaches crawling in the room. For the other room the property failed to notify me that there was a leak from the rain in the room which needed to be fixed and cleaned so we weren’t able to get into the other room until 6:00 pm which is really annoying after traveling all day since 3:00am EST from out of state. On top of all that you can hear gun shots, loud music, car alarms in the middle of the night. Please pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.

This place was nothing like the photos. The owner or manager was very pleasant. But when we first walked in the room, we're like wow, smells like stale cigarette smoke 🚬 😒 burn hole in the comforter. No trash cans, no closet to hang your clothes, no mirror in the bathroom I understand they're remodeling but they should have noted that so people are aware. The inn is not located in the best part of town. Luckily we just spent one night. We even had a guy enter our room because the guy managing the place gave him a key card to our room! Talk about being scared 😱 I looked at the guy because the office was right across from our room I said what the heck!!! He said he was sorry, my husband had to push the table against the door just to feel safe that no one else would enter. Oh and we did see a couple of cockaroaches!!

I will love to share this with people the I stated here on nov.2023 . After I see so many old review and negative I think is a newer owner bcuz since we walk in with a good spirit girls was so helpfull give us anything we ask and offert to go to the store got us ice drinks . Rooms smell so good and give us so much attention that is no hotel we will go stay . We be here next time and recomended to anyone . We just enjoy this trip . The girls was so friendly the we shared phone numbers .told us where to go they knew exactly where to go the best place to eat and to go and enjoy our self was like a family hotel

I booked this place trying to get to CaliVibes. Too many people walking in and out. I didn't feel threatened or anything like that. Lots of local places to get food. The reason for my 1 star is that the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned and it had roaches i didn't stay the night so I can't tell you if there were any bed bugs. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and understanding when I told her I couldn't stay in that room. We booked through Airbnb and currently waiting to hear how much they're going to refund us. They should take this place out of their listing. Good luck!

Aside from false advertising, this place is a disaster. There’s sketchy people staying in this place. There’s always someone yelling at you from the streets making it feel very unsafe. Walls are very thin and the room we were in was filthy. Management is not hands on and does not know what’s going on in their rooms after guests checks out so if you left something it would probably won’t be returned to you. Homeless people go in and out the property. No security cameras whatsoever. There were a pile of key cards on the front desk and anyone can just grab them and enter the rooms. But I guess you get what you pay for. Never staying here again.

It's a pretty decent motel but they never really answer the phone. You would physically have to go to the property to talk to them, and half of the time nobody is even there. It's located near a few liquor stores and some bus stops as well.
