This museum is part of the coastal heritage society package, where you can get three adult tickets to applicable museums at a discounted cost. This place is beautiful, oyster shells literally everywhere. I also loved learning about the oyster shucking and canning process and the community that brought this place to life. It’s small but is very different from the other types of history museums available in Savannah, which I think makes it more memorable.
What a great hidden gem! Extremely well done. Lots of interesting history of the lives of the locals and the strong work ethic of a very tight knit community. Small footprint, but quality exhibits, especially enjoyed the 35 minute documentary.
Cool experience! Thought it was worth the $10/person entry fee. Make sure to check hours as when we went it was just open Thursday through Saturday; also sounds like the last guided tour may end at two so go earlier as the guided tour portion was worth it. There was an interesting video that we enjoyed watching. Then a passionate tour guide took us around the property explaining things along the way; he was patient with our many questions. Then afterwards we took some time to explore on our own. Overall we were there for about an hour and a half perhaps, though you could spend more or less as desired.
We arrived around 10am, Monique was our guide - she is a descendent and grew up here. She was so full of information and stories, wish we had more time with her. We were there 2.5 hours and I could have easily spent another 2-3+ hours reading everything and soaking in this rich history. Thank you so much for sharing your life and history with us. I bought a book in their gift store and can’t wait to learn more. Gail was in the gift store working and got to hear about her story, such a joy to chat with her. I’ll be back!
Pin Point Heritage Museum is now one of our favorite destinations when visiting Savannah. The area is beautiful, serene, and abounds with rich history. From the welcome upon our arrival to the wonderful tour with Sheron, we couldn't have been more pleased. Sheron has a way of making you feel as though you are sharing time with family and walking away the better for it. We are looking forward to the next trip.
They were closed when we pulled up but we walked around the property and took some pictures. The place has some amazing energy can't wait to come back this summer.
I visited Pin Point as a chaperone on a 5th grade field trip and had the best time! Our guide, Gail, was full of knowledge and so personable. The short intro video was informative and the sites are well-preserved! It was great way to expose our group of 5th graders to an important culture they otherwise might not ever encounter. I will tell everyone I know about this great attraction!
I really enjoyed my tour here. It’s both a cultural tour and a factory tour in a way. You get to learn about the people of this community and their history and traditions as well as how they made a living for many years. The way the tour guide presented you really felt like you could picture what it would have been like to live and work there. It was very engaging. The museum staff can also connect you with other things to check out in the area like restaurants and galleries.

I love art museums! This one was in such a lovely setting. I was unfamiliar with the artists but felt like the collection was beautifully selected for the many expressions of the people depicted. It was a good balance of landscape and people. I love
Perfect place for a small wedding ceremony. Reasonable pricing. Sheena was absolutely amazing to work with and so sweet. It would be nice if they had their own chairs that you can pay extra for, which would be my only very small complaint. Definitely
My 9 yr old requested to go visit this museum and SCAD did not disappoint him at all. He was impressed with everything and that he could interact with the displays. Through the eyes of a child this museum gets a 10/10!

Great place to stay. The only thing that could have made our stay better would be a better mattress in our room. You are literally so close to a perfect review, but the mattresses need improvement!
We were visitors at this studio for the day during our trip to Savannah. We absolutely loved the spaciousness of the lobby and the studio. They had the new treads. The rowers are closer together than some other studios but the floor was super spaciou
