The front desk was extremely nice and very helpful. The luggage attendants were very courteous. The grounds were beautiful with lots of beautiful flowers. We were hoping to have a view of the water front but we could not see it. We like having windows with nice views. Instead of a room with an aurora view, we had a view of the roof top.the bright side was we had a nice king bed! If I was going to stay at the Pike”s Waterfront Lodge again, I would ask for an aurora viewing room.
Wonderful place to stay! Curious and helpful staff. Clean rooms with a beautiful view! Breakfast buffet was exceptional! I am gluten free as a result of allergies and the buffet was suitable for me. I had no reaction as staff advised me of what was gluten free. We had a good time at the bar and restaurant, again with an excellent staff and good food!
Home away from home, cozy feel, exceptional staff and elegant rooms and dog lovers and their K-9 friends are welcomed. Enjoy the marvelous Alaskan paintings and real Alaska decor and friendly folks. Beautiful hotel grounds. Wish I could grow flowers that lovely. Close to everything and lots of ways to get you there. The glassed-in Aurora observing room in winter by the fireplace is quite fun for those who have never seen the Northern Lights in late fall and winter.
Pillows too hard and bed a bit too soft making for an uncomfortable sleep. Breakfast was marginal given the price. Staff was helpful and courteous. Hotel shuttle was convenient for transport to/from airport and river boat cruise. Nice gift shop. Good hotel location.
Stayed in one of their cabins instead of a room in the main complex. The cabin was charming with a rustic vibe and tin ceiling, yet had modern amenities. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The atmosphere was quiet. The blackout curtains worked well.
My adult son and I enjoyed some of the hotel amenities like roasting marshmallows over the fire (included in our package), hearty on-site breakfast (paid separately), aromatherapy spa and sauna, and walking around the property and to nearby restaurants. Our room was quiet and comfortable, and had what we needed for our 3-night stay.
I stayed here for a night with my adult daughter at the end of our Alaska vacation. I can't describe how tacky this place is. It's remarkable. I understand the notion is subjective, but dang...it was very poor, indeed. I would never recommend this place for any reason there than it's about a 60 second drive from the airport.
We had a beautiful river front log cabin. But hotel had no restaurant, there is like a truck stop restaurant next door that was very basic and expensive. Staff apart from Tiffany the bartender were not very approachable.
Great place to stay! Location is the best, right next to the downtown park. We went for a walk at the park and across the river. Gorgeous views. Definitely worth spending the little bit of extra $$ to stay here!
The rooms were clean and beautiful. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The shower pressure was bad and the breakfast options could have been better. The Lady at the front desk was very helpful. The location was fantastic- close to walmart
So the rooms were very spacious but definitely a bit dated. They have baseboard heat that wasn't working properly so the room was pretty cold the first night. The customer Service was great, they immediately sent someone up to look at it and he could
Dropped in for a Saturday Class. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The gym was huge, clean and warm! The workout was sweaty, loved it! Highly recommend if you are visiting, super easy drop in process.
