Great place to see North America's largest smoky quartz crystal and two others from the same pocket. Also some cool area history and objects.

Neat place to visit and learn some of the history of Florissant. The lady working was very nice and helpful. Gift shop had all sorts of neat things to buy. I always mention the museum when tourists ask what there is to see in Florissant.

Cool little museum in Florissant, CO. Pretty much open only on the weekends and some holidays. Curator is a friend, and we met thru the Lake George Gem and Mineral Club years ago. Lots to see and learn about the Pikes Peak area.

This is a small, yet very interesting museum. There are several small exhibits about Native Americans in the area, early settlers, and geology all with some very cool artifacts. Hours are limited, but if you can make a trip here it is definitely worth it to learn more about the history of Florissant and the Pikes Peak region.

We visited this museum this past weekend. Lots of cool artifacts, Native American, fossils, crystals, old mining equipment. We were greeted and shown around where my son, who's four years old, could play with some of the items (drums, dinos). It is free but they have a donation box. Very glad we stopped by and saw it. Thank you!

Any trip to this area should begin here. A reminder of the Native Americans that were removed from this beautiful region. We enjoyed learning about the Ute people and the history of the pioneers. Beautiful, huge gems to see as well! Wonderful, welcoming volunteers were there to show us everything.
