Great brunch this morning at Pig In A Jelly Jar. Place is small, but works efficiently. Order at the counter, then they will tell you where to sit and bring you your food and drinks. Food is fantastic and kids that work there are good at what they do. Eighteen percent gratuity is always added to the bill so no need to tip…unless it’s stellar and you want to give them a bonus amount!
When I get a hankering for chicken and waffles, pig, and a jelly jar is the place to go! I was sad to see the holiday. Location closed yet delighted the one on fourth E. and ninth south was real fast and ready for me this morning! I also tried the hot chocolate, which is very interesting and very good. I confess I got whipped cream on it, which I almost never do, and it was delish! Notice the tips included in their fees, so no need to leave an additional one.
Quiet little spot that serves up food pretty quick. Average price and the food was good. Little light on the aioli but not bad at all. I would eat here again.
Cool place. Food was amazing! The hash was so good. I've been dreaming about eating here again. Its a cute funky place and I absolutely loved it and will be coming back!
Absolutely will be back. You order first at the counter and pay. Once a table is ready they will seat you and bring your order. You wait inside for them to call your name. Really good service. Ordered 4 dishes for $60 which is pretty good and portions were large. My favorite was the chicken and waffles!
Decent breakfast. Their waffles and topping options really shone. The kitchen sink was good but nothing too amazing. Good atmosphere and fun indie vibes, lots of hipsters dressed like 1930s factory workers lol. I would definitely go back for the sweet breakfast options.
This is good, and the start of something great. Fun atmosphere, High use of technology. Tasty food. Was asked to wait 15 minutes to clear out the restaurant, which was a bit off putting. Everything must be ordered before you are offered a seat, which is different for a similarly set up dining place. The biscuits were a tad on the dry side. No sausage in the biscuits and gravy (maybe I should have specified, don’t know). The plates, utensils, serving ware was spotless, but there are a lot of high use items that need refreshing (games, tables, etc). Staff is super friendly and move at a moderate pace. Aside from the detailed critique above (every needs some honest feedback), it really is a good restaurant. Delicious and flavorful. High quality, just needs some refinement and a few rough edges smoothed out. This place rides along an edgy cultural ledge, but seems a bit rough in a few spots.
Food tasted great, everything was cooked well. I ate the Nashville honey chicken sandwich with fries. Cleanliness was okay, clean tables and chairs. Floor was a tad messy but nothing unacceptable considering the lunch rush. Service was a negative. I was served the wrong drink, no big deal to me, they swapped it out quickly for me. However the service went RAPIDLY downhill after this. We were never checked in on at any point, we were missing multiple items from our order. We had to initiate the request for the problem to be solved on our own due to us being completely ignored by all staff. When we brought up that there were missing items, the female was very rude. Another gentleman came by a few moments later, Chris was awesome at the end. He breezed right through the issue and refunded the other portion of our party's entire ticket, noticing we had been ignored and began to give attention. Main issue was that this was a $50 meal sitting for two people, they required and add an UPFRONT TIP of 18% before you even know what kind of service you are getting. I had a feeling immediately that forcing an 18% tip up front was going to be a potential issue if the experience was not up to par.
