There is an amazing staff willing to work with you to get you your dream apartment! ( shoutout Aubrey, you’re awesome! ) GREAT amenities aka the best indoor pool ever!!!! Lots of other amazing amenities too including a huge gym and yoga studio open 24/7. Awesome game room with provided arcade games & board games, attached to your own mini grocery store making hosting friends a delight! There’s weekly hosted events that help you get to know your neighbors and enjoy delicious treats! Once again ran by such a kind staff truly making you feel at home.

I am a new resident at Pickwick Plaza and I am super excited to see how everything goes and what Pickwick has to offer. I can say the whole process from touring to now moving in has gone great! Moving everything into my unit went smoothly and with any problems the leasing office was able to help.Corey one of the leasing agents has been so helpful and attentive throughout the whole process. So has Aubrey with helping me and my family with how to use the freight elevator. Overall so far so good, I would definitely recommend Pickwick Plaza if you considering becoming a resident:)))

Could be much better at communicating. They will send out text reminders for a chiefs game watch party but not text/ inform keep tenants informed of major maintenance issues. Elevators being out of service ( usually one out but on one occasion both) My apt has been 59 degrees/heat not working for 2 days now. I got a space heater dropped off but NO communication regarding fixing of the issue despite MY multiple attempts to reach out (maintenance requests and phone calls) I understand it’s been below freezing but the least they could do is reach out to tenant affected to let us know what’s happening. As I spend the next 12 hours at work I’m sure my apt will be well below 50 by the time I get home

I have been here at the Pickwick Plaza for 6 months and could not be happier with the service or maintenance. I have never lived anywhere that the amenities were always functional. Things break down, but the staff here is always doing their best to see that everything works in the best way humanly possible. I am part of the DNA (Downtown Neighborhood Assoc.) so I know the problems other apartment complexes have with the vandalization of cars in unprotected garages. The security here is top notch and we do not have issues. But, the helpful and courteous staff is the Pickwick's greatest asset. Austin, the property manager, went far beyond what I could have reasonably expected to help me solve a problem with my car yesterday. Another member of his team jumped in and between the two of them they got my car running so that I could get it to the dealership for a new battery. Problem solved. Kelly and the front office staff, and Brady in maintenance have been universally professional and helpful whenever needed. They all take pride in the Pickwick Plaza and it is obvious when you live here. Thanks to you all, Monte

Giving this place one star is being very generous. I have been living here for awhile now, and there has been extreme mold growth on the walls and the window seals. I have contacted management, even brought in health inspectors, and still NOTHING. They came in and "sprayed and cleaned" and well as PAINTED over it. It is now coming back stronger and is turning the walls yellow but to it being painted over in white. Management refuses to negotiate with any requests such as moving into a new unit, or even cutting my months rent. I was also having extreme breathing problems and a high fever, and ended up going to the hospital. Still, they did absolutely nothing. I recommend this place to literally nobody.

Horrible experience at these "luxury" apartments. Firstly I was looking to move in August fairly quickly, and they were more than willing to work with me on that. I had to wait an additional week which meant staying at a hotel for two weeks until move in. I had scheduled to meet them on a Saturday to pick up the keys and then meet some family/friends to move furniture from a storage unit. I ended up waiting outside the building over an hour as nobody was there in the office. Eventually someone let me in and I waited in the lobby for someone to show up. This wouldn't have been bad but lady that showed up never even said they were sorry. When we did a walkthrough while getting the keys I noticed there was no washer and dryer, dirty appliances (glass stains and the like) and paint splatter everywhere. The floor might as well have been polka dot. I mentioned this and they arranged the delivery of the appliances later and said they would schedule a cleaning. Fine. I'm not sure what my extra week expense in a hotel was for. After move in same day, someone was parked in my parking spot and the lady that was there had already left. I made several phone calls and everyone was like Idk what to tell you. They ended up assigning me a different spot later on. I think there was a mix up because that same car remained at that spot. Maintenance was very attentive and nice even though the stacked washer they put in came crashing to the floor breaking some of my things after first use. As for the apartment itself, again I had polka dot painted floors. The cabinets were so shallow you can't fit a standard sized plate in them. The appliances were not clean. The bathroom faucet was activated by hand sensor for 1 second at a time with the smallest amount of pressure. It makes brushing your teeth impossible. I had to use the kitchen faucet. Luxury. I could hear the neighbors pretty clearly. I also wish you could crack the windows. Anyway, I ended up being too emotionally drained and upset at the whole experience of moving in and living there, that I looked elsewhere. They weren't very willing to negotiate a break in lease. And the person emailing me said it would be unfair to negotiate and be against the Fair Housing Act. So obviously they'll lie to you and not work with you. Not a place I would recommend living or doing business with and I even regret the amount I settled on giving them. It was quite a traumatic experience 😅

My boyfriend and I love living here at Pickwick Plaza. The leasing management and maintenance are so kind and accommodating, and always go out of their way to make sure everyone is happy. We moved into our studio apartment in August, and have gotten to enjoy an awesome gym, pool, and hot tub, as well as easy walks to Power & Light and the KC Streetcar. This place immediately pulled us in when we walked into the beautiful building and heard Frank Sinatra playing over a grand piano in the lobby. We’ve got a wine bar coming soon, and lots of exciting events to attend. Mayor Sly James gave a speech in the building a few weeks ago, we’ve had fashion shows, dinner parties, and more. I will say that this place would not be affordable if we weren’t able to split the rent, but we are, so it’s perfect for us. Great location, great amenities, and great staff. We will always live here if we stay in Kansas City; it is true luxury.

Edit: Manager had called to make it right a bit later. Seemed nice and gave me the info I needed to make a decision. Ghosted me a few days later. Had an appointment at 2 for a virtual tour. I took time off work and I waited 15 minutes without hearing from Kelly. Eventually I left, because if this is how they are with appointments... I couldn't imagine how it is trying to ask for anything else.
