Like a popular fast food joint of the 50's: (Cash Only) hamburgers, fries, and a milkshake. Also a really tasty potato salad. There's a park style yard with adult & junior sized picnic tables. And a great big beautiful tree providing shade.

Smallish burgers, hamburger patties are MAYBE 1/4" thick. But... the prices are cheap, so reflect that. Advice... GO BIG at this place! Most importantly a fairly good flavor to the meat for a grilled patty. Condiments: Have their own sauce which was just right in amount. Fresh tomato, onions and pickle. Bun: not heavy/bready... Perfect. Fries: homemade yes, but disappointingly soggy. Good flavor though! Bottom line: I'd go back, but not order fries.

Just can’t beat a messy pile of meat, onion, pickle and deliciousness. All this on a toasted bun. Perfection. Like all of these burgers of the old guard, they have that formula that makes them endure in the public pallet. Serve this up with a thick like mush milk shake and fry’s. This is America and americana. Located on pacific highway in Fife. If it doesn’t rain than enjoy this burger in the picnic area. Lotsa parking and always a line. It’s very well worth the wait.

They only take cash. Good place and quick with service. Love the outdoor seating with the trees providing cover. Feels a bit old fashioned in this way. Ordering is fast and easy with a small selection of food and a giant selection of malts & shakes. I highly recommend the chocolate + marshmallow malt! Burgers are great - a little thin but that's okay. Fries are decent. Food is made fairly quickly. I've been twice. The second time there was pretty up-front drama between some workers with two of them getting into a verbal argument (not yelling) just behind the counter. So that was kind unprofessional but, eh.

The line moved quickly and our order was taken within a few minutes. I ordered 2 triple cheeseburgers one with bacon, fries, grilled cheese sandwich, hot chocolate, and a strawberry milkshake. The staff worked like a well oiled machine and got food out quickly. The burger was simply good, I liked how they cut their onion into rings and placed it in the burger. The fries were fresh and good. And the milkshake was not overly thick, authentic, and good. My boyfriend is a picky eater and he said the food was good and will return. To sum it up, this place serves old-fashioned food that’s simple and probably hasn’t changed since it’s opened. So, if you’re looking for something spectacular and different then this place isn’t for you, but if you appreciate simple, consistent, authentic and old-fashioned food then you’ll like it.

Burgers and fries were surprisingly good. And I loved they have a spacious outdoor seating! It felt like we were on picnic. Want to go back sometime soon.

This is an old time burger and shake place with outdoor seating and a really cool '50's burger drive thru building and sign. The burgers are delicious and the shake are outta sight! It gets pretty busy and they only have two registers, so get there early or mid day. It's one of my favorite places to get a burger in Tacoma.

The only reason it doesn’t get the 5th star is because it’s cash only :-( Luckily I had a twenty stashed in my wallet for an emergency…. I guess this constitutes an emergency! Darn good burger.
