We encountered very attentive and detailed staff during the wine tasting session, who provided thorough explanations. His introductions were highly professional and helped us make decisions about which wines to try. The wines were delicious, and the membership program felt like a great deal. The dessert wine Mission Angelica is truly impressive. Also they had outdoor seating that was perfect for picnics, and there was a nearby hiking trail. We really had a good time here and would definitely consider visiting again.

I enjoyed my lunch at the serene, shaded picnic area before heading into the wine tasting room. I was greeted by an old and calming smell that only comes from vintage brick buildings (I later learned that this building is one of the few brick buildings in California due to earthquake regulations) and from start to finish I was treated to a breathtaking experience. If you visit this winery, which I highly recommend, I would suggest going on Monday at noon because I had the entire place to myself. It was a magical experience. My sommelier was extremely patient and kind and seemed to enjoy chatting about wine, answering all of my questions, dispelling my preconceived and incorrect notions about wine, and adding factoids and history about the establishment and wine in general. I was served 5 different wines, offered notes on what to taste for, and given ideal food pairings. Every. Single. Wine. Was. Delicious. I tried wines that I historically thought I disliked but in their small batch, extremely high standards for barrelling lent a smooth balance for every wine I tried. I particularly liked their Zinfandel wine because not only do I like Zinfandel the best, their Zinfandel vineyards are over 100 years old. If I could spend the meager $20 to do it again, I would do it in a heartbeat. In fact, the next time I visit California, I will bring a checked bag just so I can bring some bottles back home. 10/10

Picchetti Winery is a wonderful old little place for unwinding. You can go for wine tasting and the winery has lots of options available. If you are a wine lover you can buy cases of your favorite wine. The Winery has old house on the ground where you can see lovely peacocks roaming the grounds. Please do not feed them! We were lucky to see a peacock dance! You can book a table for small celebrations and make your time memorable. The parking lots are big. The trails in the Open Space Preserve start from the Winery. Overall a lovely place to visit any time of the year. Highly recommended!

Grab your picnic and come enjoy the nature and good wine at Picchetti. You can do a tasting inside or simply buy a bottle and bring it outside, where they have dozens of picnic tables and chairs spread in the grass. If you want more, the winery is located at the entrance of the hiking trail - there are multiple trails and the scenery is beautiful.

My friend and I went to Picchetti Winery while we visited California and it was good time. The wine tasting was reasonably priced and the wine was really good. Our bartender, Mattie, was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. I would definitely come back and recommend others to try them out too.

Visited in Aug 2021 and enjoyed a mostly shaded out 1.25 mile (2.5 round trip) trail that took us by the winery, a pond that was dried up and some creakbeds that look like they would be nice if there were some recent rains. You will enjoy the bountiful free parking, bathroom, and even water fountain that worked.

Great wine and fantastic staff. Hit the trail early for the fantastic views, then reward yourself at the end with some libations. Try the port with the fudge (even if you're not into dessert wines). It's amazing. Then sign up for membership because once things open up again, you'll want to have access to the reserve wines during tastings. A chilled glass of Mission Angelica with a thinly sliced lemon is where it's at during the summer.

Picchetti has a nice selection of wines (obviously), but the real draw is a large grassy area perfect for a picnic. There are also some easy hiking trails right next to the winery. This is a great place to spend a sunny afternoon.
