Pho Tai - Vietnamese restaurant in Rochester - 1726 37th St NW, USA

We ordered the egg rolls which comes with 2 & they’re delicious! Pho has really went downhill with flavor and my fiancés pad Thai noodles were undercooked. Our server (we have had him before) is not welcoming which is unfortunate and the atmosphere is bland. It is sooooo cold in there every time we go! I had to wear my winter coat, hood and gloves. Sucks he never checked on us. But it definitely is not the same as it used to be. Some menu items are tasty.

If you’re looking for some good Vietnamese food you won’t be disappointed. Service 5/5 Food 4/5 Cleanliness 4/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Price 4/5 The restaurant was busy but the service was prompt and polite. The food was fresh and there were a variety of amazing sauces on the table. The meat in the pho was a bit tough. We went on a Sunday afternoon and in addition to it being busy they also had so many take away orders that they were unable to offer any of their stir-fry menu items. I was disappointed because I had wanted to try their pad-Thai. The restaurant did have a bit dingy look and smell. The portions were generous and price was reasonable but not cheap.

Pho Tai is THE best! My kids and I love coming here!! Food is always amazing. The service is amazing. And it's a nice, cozy place to just sit and relax! Highly recommend!

This is a decent Thai restaurant. I was not overly impressed by the atmosphere. It wasn’t bad, but felt more of an afterthought. You better like meat if you’re going to come here. It is very hard to find anything that was vegetarian. Also, unless you speak Thai the menu takes a little bit more effort to figure out what you want to order. The waitresses were polite, but not overly present. Overall, I did not have a bad experience, but I did not have a good experience.

The food taste good. Service is good and serving fast. I ordered Chicken Chow Mien (deep fried noodles) and Vietnamese spring roll. The noodles is come in a really big portion which probably can share by two. The chicken is tender and taste really nice.They serve white rice with the noodles too. The size of the Vietnamese spring roll is too big, the sauce doesn't taste like spring roll sauce. Fortune cookies were served after the meal. Easy to get parking outside of the restaurant.

We have been in Rochester often for appointments at the local hospital. Before we go back home we like to try out new restaurants and this one we tried today. The service was great, we were in and out in 45 minutes during a busy lunch hour. The wait staff were quick to respond to our needs too! Very nice. Everyone at my table got pho, I got the rice noodle salad and it was amazing. Will definitely be back!

We got 3 entrees and two appetizers for takeout and this may well be the worst meal I have paid for this year. There were no herbs in the spring rolls, and the sauce was a strange brown mystery goo. The pad Thai noodles were mush and the sweet and spicy chicken was bland. Everything tasted the same, as if they have three sauces that get used for everything. It looks they have new owners recently and it sure is sad to see a restaurant that people seemed to like at one point go downhill so fast.

Ordered egg rolls and pho for $20 with tip. Little pricy for a lunch I think should be $12. Pho broth was light and ok, didn't have the overpowering msg like others, pho condiments were fresh. Egg rolls didn't taste fresh, days old refried.
