Pho Real - Vietnamese restaurant in Charlotte - 440 E McCullough Dr, USA

We came during lunch on December 15th. It was busy but not packed. I think we had one of the best servers I've had in any restaurant in a long time. She was attentive, personable, and so charismatic. She guided me into ordering one of her favorites and it did not disappoint. It was pho with a seafood medley and we also got the pho with rare steak. The broth was complex and flavorful. I'd come back for the service alone!

This is the 4th Phö restaurant I've recently visited in Charlotte and it's the best. I'd heard about it for years but never got there til recently. I had the usual (for me)...pork spring rolls, eye round medium Phö, and iced coffee. The spring rolls were nice and fresh and chewy...the accompanying peanut sauce was tasty with chopped Peanuts. The Phö bowl was nice and hot, and full of beef flavor. Meat was lean and the side plate of limes, basil, jalapeños and bean sprouts was fresh. The iced coffee was the BEST of any of the Phö restaurants I've been to. It was the true drip style with condensed milk. Just the right strength to hold up to the ice! I don't know of any other place that still uses the drip method...takes longer but, to me it's worth the wait! On my second visit the meat was a little fatty and they were out of bean sprouts (Friday) but everything else; spring rolls and iced coffee were on point!... Of the 4 Phö restaurants Phö Real is the BEST and much more affordable than on Central Ave!! Love it! This is my got to Phö place now.

This was my first time at this restaurant. Our server was very helpful in explaining the menu and offered dishes that she believed we would like. She explained the flavor and heat levels and made the experience pleasant. The location was clean would visit again.

My friend really like this place and recommend me here. I order the fried egg roll which is my favorite dish but when the food came out the lettuce leaf under it has dirt all over and it was disgusting… We told one of the waitress who was tall and black hair. She didn’t even say sorry or any explanation when I asked her did you guys washed it or not? It was terrible and disappointing.

My Bf and I were vacationing and we were looking for authentic vietnamese food. We encountered this place by just searching food near by. I was sketchy at first but this is one of those places you call a hidden gem. The place was very clean, looked presentable and the ambience was very calm and soothing. The food was A+ , everything was super delicious and handled with care. I loved it overall but definitely need to improve on the customer service when it comes to servers. 🫶🏽

Before we have our own restaurant, Pho Real has always been one of our favs..and even now we have pho at our restaurant, I still swing by for a dose of Pho Real whenever I’m in the area…it was my happy food growing up and it’s still my happy food after all these years! The best way to support a restaurant is to 1) order directly from them instead of thru doordash, Grubhub and stuff …those vendors charge them 30% of our cut! That’s a lot…that’s a lot of bowls of pho to just break even! 2) come and dine-in whenever possible 3) write them positive reviews with really good ratings….bc often people only want to write when they’re upset about something (sometimes it’s not even directly at the food …heheh, the innocent bystander). And it takes so many positive reviews to offset 1 bad one…kinda like when you were in school, it takes 5 A’s to offset 1 C or something. You get the idea! So yah, choose to write positive reviews when you have a good experience bc that’s the most practical and free way to help your local restaurant 🥰 And no, I’m not related to them and I’m not a BoT;) My fav thing at Pho Real is Bún thit nuong, Banh Xèo, pho, and my all time favs…Hu Tieu dac biet, with glass noodles ;) Oooh I also love their nem nuong and my kids love the quails, and my hubby fav cơm đặc biệt .🥰🥰 You guys did a good job and keep up the good work…don’t let a few downers bring you down🌸🌈 I’m sorry for my Photograhpy skills…lol…the food is way yummier than it looks in my pics 🤣

The food was good but a little over priced for the quality. The egg rolls were very good and so was the lemongrass chicken. However the pho was not pho real! The place was very clean and the staff was friendly but they were not very organized.

I can’t express enough how delicious this food is. I always order To-Go bc I don’t have time to sit down and eat. Their garden pho soup is delicious. I don’t like their tofu but I also don’t eat meat so this is the best option. Their vegan fried spring rolls are literally the best I’ve had in my life. Dining in or to go, this place is the best for pho. I love it.
