Not a bad place to try, just not my "go to" place. Parking is a challenge with it being street parking in a touristy area but overall the food is not bad. Setting is casual; service was excellent. My wife wanted crispy spring rolls wrapped with romaine lettuce, which most places don't do so we asked for some. The server was very accommodating although it was a different lettuce (no issue given our "ask" and they worked with us). With this she had pho (ok) and I had lemongrass chicken (ok).
They have interesting decor, but the table alone had a weird odor like they used a dirty rag to clean it. We had a #9 it wasn’t the best pho but it was definitely on the sweet side. I had also ordered a fresh lemonade ice tea which was actually really good but had sort of a gingery taste. Even tho it was slow they had forgotten to bring out another drink we had ordered.
Very solid vietnamese place! The pho broth had rich and deep flavor, my partner agreed it's one of the best we've had in a long time. The coffee was also nice and strong and creamy, only thing that could be improved is that the lemon grass chicken rice had not alot of chicken, could've added a few more pieces. Otherwise service and food was good!
Fast and not too expensive. Super crispy bread. Ten bucks per banh mi.
Service was fast and friendly. The food was tasty. We spent $45 on three chicken/ beef pho bowls and spring rolls. Not bad. We will return. My kids enjoyed.
Fast and friendly service! They offer a wide range of authentic Vietnamese foods and drinks. The Pho is a must try! Broth is clear but doesn’t lack depth or flavor. The milk tea is also a personal favorite ❤️
Good food, very friendly service and reasonable prices are highlights of this new restaurant. The Vietnamese iced coffee was thick and strong and not too sweet. The Lemongrass Grilled Pork with rice was delicious. Tables were sanitized as soon as diners left. The dining room is large and social distancing is enforced. Masks are required for guests and staff. Very conveniently located in the heart of Old Town.
I don't eat Vietnamese food that often. But this place was recommended to me by someone who does so I decided to try it. I believe the establishment is new. My husband and I came here for dinner. I thought we were going to share meals but that didn't happen lol. We ordered 2 shrimp rolls (1 order comes with 2 rolls) and 2 entrees. I had a chicken bahn mi and he had a noodle dish. The food was so good and flavorful I had to run it back the next day. Since my initial visit, I have been here probably 5 times in 1.5 months. I was actually surprised at how flavorful the sweet tea was. DELICIOUS!!! The food is good. I'm supporting local business. The only draw back is that its in Old Town Alexandria. Parking
Iâve been to so many Vietnamese restaurants and honestly 5 starts isnât enough for this place. Place is clean and nice, customer service is amazing from the hostess and waitresses to food being so delicious. I drive 25-30min from MD just to eat a
Best pho I've ever had! I've only eaten here twice (the first time in Feb 2019), but both times were excellent! Everything was extremely flavorful, and the spice level was perfect! I cannot express enough how much I loved the pho!!!
When the Civil War started and the Union took Alexandria many escaped slaves, called Contraband, poured into the city to escape their former masters. This overcrowding caused a high mortality rate. The soldiers seized a undeveloped plot of land and
