Pho 815 - Vietnamese restaurant in Rockford - 7437 E State St, USA

Atmosphere is super relaxed, and peaceful. Service was quick, and enjoyable, making jokes with the waitress! Ended up eating the chicken pho, and had the best crab Rangoon I have ever had!

Food is decent, service are terrible! We have seven people, three adults and four kids. server only bring us four utensils with knife for kids. When I asked more utensils and she said how many do we need. I have to explained we have seven people and you bring four and we need three more. Two Kids Order two grilled port sandwiches with no jalapeños but they make with jalapeños, even I took them out immediately, kids still said it was too spicy. One kids Order kids meal beef fried rice. But they give us regular adult meal beef and shrimp fried rice which is six dollars difference. My friend ‘s food pho veg was late for five minutes and he explained chef accidentally packaged it in Togo box. It was not the worst part. I actually didn’t complain anything about the above problems , just want to pay and leave. When I go pay, the server told me one hundred two and some cents, I paid credit card still with 15% tips because I have restaurant business and I understand mistakes happened sometimes. But when I asked receipt, and he said the machine was broke and couldn’t give me it but I can take a picture. So I checked the picture receipt and found out there is custom amount. I kind of confused what was it and I asked the server, he said it was gratuity since we had seven people. I am not happy at that moment so I said you should at least tell me you charge my tip and so I won’t give you double. Then it was the worst moment, the server said they didn’t have to and they didn’t have responsibilities to tell me, it was told somewhere in the menu customer should read by themselves. At last They did give my extra tip back but their attitude make me feel it was all my fault. Even when I came out, the guy still said next time read menu carefully. I answered no next time. I will never ever go back again. Also tips should mention on the receipt as gratuity not custom amount. It is the way to avoid server’s tax.

Pretty good but pricey. Bowl of pho is $13+. Broth is decently clear for the pho but not the clearest I've seen. This pho is on the sweeter side for the broth so be careful if you like adding hoisin sauce. They do have better pepper to add, you just have to ask for it instead of using the sweet siracha . Fried rice did not seemed to have been seasoned. Tasted like only the ingredients if that's what you like.

First time here and very happy with the results. On our way home from a great vacation. Very hungry for homeland food and was not disappointed. If anything at all the fish sauce can be a tad more salty…but I tend to eat too much sodium! All and all the family love the experience and definitely will be back!

Got the R5 Rice Plate and it was amazing! The meat was seasoned perfectly and the other sides complemented perfectly! Definitely a must try!

I am very disappointed! I ordered the combination beef pho and it was terrible. The noodles were so over cooked that they started breaking apart to the point where it looked like rice, I couldn’t even use the chop sticks to eat it. There wasn’t enough meat at all and it smelled and looked so bad that I gagged you can literally tell it was old or have been sitting out all day. The broth was cold and dark looking. I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. I I wasted $17.01 on this one dish and hated everything about it. I immediately threw it in the trash! If I dined in I would have definitely asked for a refund but unfortunately I’m all the home already and can’t do anything about it!! I am very upset

As a frequent traveler to this particular Rockford area I am disappointed that this was my first visit to Pho 815. Some of the reviews were not flattering but I have nothing but high praise. The restaurant is clean and aesthetically pleasing. The lighting is excellent. The service was also very good. My waiter was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Spring Rolls which looked healthy and fresh. Three large Spring Rolls with an perfect dipping sauce came out quickly. I also had the Chow Mein Vui Ve which included thin rice noodles, perfectly cooked veggies and chicken. I love bean spouts and it also generous portion of them. Five Stars and repeat business is that Pho 815 deserves.

I got bahn mi with BBQ pork and classic spring rolls. It was all VERY GOOD. Chilli oil and hoisin on the table. Next time I may ask if I can get less noodles in the spring rolls because it was packed with them- which is good except for my need to eat more protein and fewer carbs for medical reasons. Both bathrooms were out of order which was frustrating- hopefully they will have those fixed soon. 1000% will eat here again and try the pho next time!
