We got the spicy basil with fried rice (up charge) and the drunken noodles, both medium spicy. The food was so good! The place was quite busy, the wait staff was doing a good job considering, but the spicy basil was brought out without any rice because the fried rice was still being made. The dish was incomplete without rice and too spicy to enjoy. So we ended up sharing one dish until the rice came (10 or more minutes later). Definitely would recommend but maybe be prepared for a longer wait.
Was driving through the area and decided to stop here for takeout. Was pleasantly surprised by both the flavor and freshness. Ordered Chicken wings, Pad Thai and of course Crab Rangoon. All three were very flavorful and tasted super fresh. The Crab Rangoon was the best I've ever had and as shown in my picture was super packed.
The food is delicious and well presented. The heat on each dish is exactly as you request. Spicy does mean hot here. Thai hot reminds you that you are alive and silliness has consequences. LOL Menu is extensive. It is a nice, cozy, and quiet, interior. Not overly bright or dark. The staff is warm and friendly. Musical swings are right next door. Nice date spot. We visit every couple weeks.
We tried three dishes and the flavor is excellent on all three. Now I see why someone told me this food is better than Chinese food. Excellent! UPDATE: We keep coming back here because it is awesome every time! You can't go wrong ordering one of the curry dishes! Excellent taste and quality food! I would rather eat this than Chinese food any day!
Finding this location made me smile! Pad Thai is freakin' amazing. I mean it. I am not vegetarian, but LOVE tofu. So I got the tofu one. The crab rangoons too. Everyone greeted me with a friendly smile! I will be back to this location when I am back in the area for work. :)
Excellent drunken noodles. I will come back for sure!!! I got the med spice and it was spicey. Next time I’ll try the hot!
Its such a gem of a place! Phaya Thai has a cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The food was delicious, fresh, and came out quickly. The staff is friendly and seemed very local "ma & pa" type vibe. I enjoyed dinner so much, that I just had to have some dessert... I highly recommend the coffee flavored Thai ice cream! I can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu!
The chefs banged on the woks very loudly. I could barely hear my family's conversations. But the food was amazing, so don't let the noise stop you.
