This black owned family business has the best soul food in town hands down. The restaurant is very clean, elegant and the ambience is giving high class…. They are very professional and friendly. Now the food is cooked to order and fresh and amazing. Baby let me tell you about the cat fish. Whew Chile ❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 you will not be disappointed.

Every month my friends and I get together for laughs and food. Each of us gets a turn at picking the restaurant we want try. This month I chose PhatCatz and now I’m a customer for life! The drinks were amazing, the DJ was playing all the right songs, and the service was beyond fantastic. Ask for Koby (sorry if I misspelled it!!) she’s phenomenal! Now to the FOOD! So much deliciousness it’s hard to say what was the best! Potato salad, coleslaw, greens, cornbread, the best fried chicken I have ever had in my whole life, ribs…. And that was just my meal! I can’t wait to go back and try more! Thank you, Kim, for coming to our table and sharing your precious time with us! Thank you, Pamela, for being so kind and looking after us! Phat Catz was recommended by 2 locals & I could not have been happier. The food is AMAZING, made to order which means fresh & your going to have to wait BUT the wait was worth it. If you can appreciate home cooked southern food then I promise you Phat Catz is the joint. The ambiance is old school bar & restaurant playing that great ol'skool music you can appreciate. Servings are VERY generous. I had the Parm wings with mac & cheese ( I had started on the mac before I took the pic) as you can see those wings speak for themselves. The other meal (see pic) was the other order. The next time you're in the Buffalo, NY area, bless your belly at Phat Catz. We had to thank the owner for such a great meal. The servers were pleasant and informative. The owners wife is the cook 🙏🏾Mom & Pop type of feel. These Canadians went home happy 😊 15 minutes from the Peace Bridge.

I ordered off grubhub at 4:30 pm. I received a call from phat catz saying it won't be 20 mins more like an hour. I was cool with that. 1 hour goes by, but still no food. So I called them, and she put me on hold and never came back to the phone. So I call back to be put on hold again to no avail. To make a long story short. I waited 2 and half hours and never received my food. And they close the kitchen at 7 pm. And now I have to wait for my $60 return in 5 business days from grubhub. So unprofessional, and people wonder why black owned businesses got such a bad rep. Phat catz I will never order or support yall again. Yall food is mid and over priced. 📢📢📢👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾And customers' support is horrible.💯💯

Omg! The food here was delicious!!! I normally don't go out for Soul food; not because I don't like it, only because real Soul food is made with the soul of the preparer; and many times the seasonings can make or break the dish. It's based on taste. I love the food at this establishment. I did not try everything of course, but I enjoyed everything that I had. Beer battered fish, cabbage, slaw, and cornbread. My friend had the rib and chicken dinner (delicious).. The environment was welcoming and the staff was very nice. And that's always a plus! Good job! See ya soon 😊

I love the esthetic as soon as I walked in. The costumer service was like being at a relatives house except very professional. I got a fish fry and it was the best in town for sure!!!!!!!! The sides don’t stay behind either, absolutely delicious. The best part was the caramel cake the lady complementarily gave me. I’m definitely going back for more. The price was very reasonable for all the food they serve.

One of my favorite soul food places in Buffalo. I was so excited to hear they were back open for dining in since the pandemic. They have a few new healthier options on the menu which I was glad to see. My friends and I enjoyed every little bite of our food. Only issue I have is the consistency of the baked macaroni and cheese. It taste different everytime I visit. Sometimes its really good like someone's granny made it, then other times it's just okay. Same with the cornbread.
